I'll sound the tentative date siren and take care of the tethered expectation balloons, you round everyone up and lead them down into the heresay shelters.

Has it occurred to anyone else that the 4 fingered moon on Abemudokon's twitter and the JAW website could mean they are giving Japan the proverbial finger and returning to the much better looking 4 fingered Mudokons? It may be wishful thinking but I certainly hope so, they've never looked right to me with 3 fingers...
|
So it's gone from us having some more news this week to "there might be some news in September"??
The waiting sucks. JAW/OWI are turning into Axel Rose. |
I suspect in september they will announce the following:
In October we are going to announce when we will announce our next announcement of our previously announced projects, that we are extremely busy working on, but until further notice can't announce anyting about yet, because we have to announce to you now again, as we have been announcing for a long time, that further announcements about the projects are put on hold by higher hand. To this announcement I can announce that further questions will not be answered until we have announced our next projects in more details (an announcement about this will be announced sooner or better later) Thank you for listening to our announcement and keep your fingers crossed till further announcements have been made. Stay Odd! |

The original restrictions for a xbla title was 50MB, that was then lifted to 200MB. However with the advent of the large 120/250GB HDDs the limit of 2GB is a restriction of the way in which the 360 pages and stores data. That 2GB limit is a hardware restriction given to us by senior 360 support staff at remond. |

So I think someone needs to stop being sore that they are wrong and just admit defeat ;) |
:
Our original intention was to announce when the new site was ready, but due to circumstances beyond our control those dates changed. In future I'll keep my mouth shut :) |
So am I right in assuming that the website -is- complete, and you're just waiting for a certain announcement date to release it?
If so... at least when a time comes that you are able to release the website, it'll all be finished and ready. I guess that's some good news. |

:
In fact, do that even if you are making shit up. |
To be clear, I wasn't trying to make the case that the PS3 has a technical limit of 2GB per game. My point was that there is obviously a limit to how big a game can be on that service. That limit could be astronomical for all I know. But there is a limit.
Also, I would be willing to put money down that your game doesn't come anywhere near the 2GB mark when it comes out, and your complaints about the limitations put on you will be revealed as the ridiculous whining of a Sony fanboy. |

A lot of Oddworld fans are very emotionally unstable. If this goes wrong, it might push poor OANST right over the edge. :D |
:
Gilrod. We're not all irrational and ungrateful and going to take matters out of your hands out on you. A lot of us are just grateful this project is being worked on, whatever it is. I know myself personally loves to be teased and updated before the announcement. It's way better than weeks and months of silence before it. |
Hey Gilrod, I agree with Crimson. I never minded the restraints and the waiting, it sort of adds to the suspense of when the game get's released. We're not all OANST's, to be fair guy, I don't know why you keep baiting him XD
|
:
But really, you could just look at a bunch of cartoon babies. That should hold you over. |
:
Seriously, OANST? At least stay on-topic if you are going to try and discredit my legitimate fan excitement that contrasts all the whiny "it's not fair I don't have it now" moaning that has been going on. |
I was just making a suggestion.
Jeez. |
Actually, I can sympathise with Stewart. I'm working on a music project myself which I started three years ago. Now, when I started, I was *certain* it would be a six month job. Absolutely, definitely six months. Three years on, it's not even half complete, because being the tart I am there was always things I wanted to change, remove or update. In fact, I scrapped most of it and started again at one point. I was hoping for a December finish but other commitments have meant that it's probably going to be next year now.
These things can very easily get on top of you. Especially if you want them to be perfect, as I'm sure Stewart and the rest of the JAW/OWI team do. A website not being ready is hardly a major issue though. I'm sure it will be worth the wait. |
To Mr. Gilrod,
I apologize for being the giant prick that I know I am. I am attempting to quit smoking, and this makes me more aggressive than I normally would be. I wish you, and your company, the best of luck, and am looking forward to playing a game that is developed by you. |
:
Fixed, and also I still disagree with you. |
:
You can't compare the past few years to this past month. They are completely different situations involving completely different people doing completely different things. |

Or, you know, we can ditch the whole trolling thing and have an actual on-topic conversation about this stuff. I think you guys are overreacting to the extreme here and you are being giant ungrateful dicks to the people making video games for you. If you disagree with me and think you are justified, at least give a legitimate reason in response. Or don't respond at all. Ignoring me is always an option. Edit: Oh, and everyone else. All you had to do was a little googling. Or know what you are talking about. See, XBLA and Games on Demand use different file structures. Games on Demand can go over 2GB, yes, but nobody ever said they couldn't. XBLA is a completely different thing and indeed cannot go over 2GB. Imagine that. Someone in the video game business actually knew what they were talking about as opposed to a bunch of people on a forum that won't even google check their claims before they make them. I never would have guessed. Cue eye rolling here. |
If they make it to just about 2GB then they can pull it off. If not I'm just going to have to buy a PS3 in the near future.
