I also want the the Bad Ending of MO to be the canonical truth, instead of the Good Ending as usual.

The good ending (i.e. recession, economic devastation) needs to occur for the plot of game/film 3 to work out.

i would love to be able to go back to the runes of rupture farms and solestorm brewey to help traped worker mudokons that servived the blast.
going back to the levels in ao and ae would be also very cool, like finding out who is incharge of slig's barracks and what has become of Boneworkz and Freeco. It would nice to see new places of corse but putting the old ones in as well would make a good game! :D |
Well, for me Oddworld should be like this. Sadly it can't be like my Quintoddogy, but I want:
more playable characthers and keep the old one (Abe, Munch, Stranger) Abe can use Mudokon weapons such as the club and the spooce shrub bow, I don't like to beat up Sligs only with slaps... it's boring! Possibility to use Shrykull whenever you want . More "people" to rescue! No linear level and don't try to implent that boring gameplay of Munch's Oddysee. The possibility to use Elum whenever you want! Adding bosses. More extra modality and unlockables after beat the game! Difficulty levels! Multiplatform! And it must be translated in ITALIAN!! That's all (I think) for now! |

Yeah I don't like the Boss thing either but those are some good ideas.
And it'd have real time like nightime and daytime. Say if you were playing and it was dark outside and yeah it'd be dark on the game too....wait did it do that on Munch's Oddysee? This might be a little much but your character would get hungry from time to time. And the longer they'd go without food the slower they'd move..but they wouldn't die of course. Edit. |

But back on topic. I want the game ot be back as part of the Quintology, whether that mean's Munch's Exoddus or Squeek's Oddysee (which would probably feature Abe and Munch anyway). I want it in 3D, but slower paced like the old games. I want sneaking and Shrykull back. However, I don't want OMG GUNZ. Oddworld games shouldn't be about shooting the Sligs to bits, it should be about running, hiding, and hoping the Industrialists don't blow you away, like the first games. I want Scrabs acting like Scrabs again. They never used to be in herds, and they never used to roar. They used to be solitary, shrieking things that would rip the limbs off anything that went near it. The rare pack is fine, as such anomalies could concievably happen, but by and large they should be solitary again. I want some of the hinted environments appearing- Ma' Spa, the place with the Song Engine, Nolybab, and so forth. I also want some of the creatures that haven't been expanded on appearing- Meetles & Mugs, Chroniclers, possibly the weird 1%ers, and possibly SeaRexes. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more of Maggie, Sam or Skillya as well. I wouldn't mind a cameo by the SW species, but I'd rather it was set in Cartel Mudos than Stranger's Wrath Mudos, yet at the same time expands to the aforementioned areas. And finally, I want it more free roaming. Say you want to go to Abe's village and visit lf, you can. Want to check out Monsaic again? Go ahead. Necrum is accessible, the wreckage of the factories Abe has taken out can be visited (maybe even have real-time features with the industrialists working on rebuilding the factories). In short, I want what first made the Oddworld games great, only bigger, more expanded, and with the new stuff intended but never realised for MO in it. |

In the movie it's not distinguishable... I think a "Shrykull's history" would be great in a game! (And I don't mean a history as superficial as in AO)

GOD YES SOLITARY SCRABS MM PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ. The herds thing was just...retarded. Highly. I sorta see what Stranger90 means, though it would be hard to balance. You don't want Shrykull too often, but I always thought you used it very scarcely in AO and AE, to the point of wondering if it's worth it being in there at all. |

Personally, I think MO lacks Wildlife areas, and focuses more on the Industrial stuff. And whatever Wildlife area there was, it was enclosed behind walls. In the new game I'd love to see more of the stuff you see in AO and AE, like Scrabania, but expanded, to make you feel as if you're in a real desert. |

It wold be interesting to look at the past of oddworld, before glukkons started taking control. Perhaps play as just any mudokun and witness when the glukkons started to gain power. Perhaps you are playing as big face before he becomes the holy mask guy thing :p

You know, they always said that Skillya was supposed to be mean as FUCK, right? But I think that when you ever meet her in game she should be completely indifferent to you, she'll adress you, and you can talk to her (possible conversation system a la Mass Effect?) But she won;t call the gaurds because of how fed up she is. And ALL stories about her are falsified. |

IMO think they should bring it back to the beginning. Bring back Molluck, perhaps RuptureFarms 2? But I think they should bring back most of all The Brewmaster, perhaps halfway through the game. The Brewmaster could be covered in burns scars and look more dead than alive, neurotic and not really all there anymore. Completely consumed with insanity with his lost efforts to make the perfect flavour.
Or perhaps The Bewmaster and Molluck together. But must haves; - Abe - Sligs, slogs, scarbs, paramites, elums (so cool), etc. - Violence - Better possessive technique (didnt much like the MO way) - COMEDY. |

Mayby make it as metroid. You need to fid special things to reach some areas.

2D gameplay, which is quite impossible. No quick save, it leads player to too easy gaming, because eq. I can't play without it. Playing in the RF ruins, which has went as half jungle, but has some real factory places in it. I find that quite interesting to explore. Maybe there could be paramites and scraps also in the area? Elum comeback, I really miss him (or her..?). And there could be ofcourse some modernplaces, like at end of AE. That would be something like mixture of AO and AE, but there could be also some new creatures like paramites and scraps are. And NOT stupid, annoying fleeches, I really hate them.
And, of course... The leveleditor would be great. |
