Majic 03-21-2004 03:58 PM

All zombie movies the same? No no no, sir... Some are better than others. Some are cheesy, generic horror and such. Others are like the living dead series, which have something beyond horror. Same with games, li- wait, no all zombie games are too alike.

In paticular order... with on number one:

1. The Lion King
2. The Lion King II: Simba's pride
3. The Truman Show
4. Steven King's It
5. The Matrix
6. The Matrix Revolutions
7. Fear dot com (great story)
8. Outbreak
9. Speed I and II
10. The Lion King III: Hakuna Matata (Placed on then cuz I think its not realy a part of the TLK collection)

Yes! I am a Lion King fan, so shoot me :P.
It was a great movie, Had nightmares when I first saw it (strange... I was only 8 years old and I never liked clowns in the first place:P)

Matrix speaks for itsself although I kept out reloaded... its only slowed down the story.
Fear dot com is an alltime favy when it comes to psycological thrillers. You have to go see it sometime.
Outbreak becouse of the dry like a dessert humor in it. (anyone remember this scene? "Sir, with all due respect... **** YOU!" Laughed my ass of!)
Speed are some great movies 2. :D

Havoc 03-31-2004 06:33 AM

Hobo 03-31-2004 06:37 AM

dripik 03-31-2004 07:10 AM

Ditto. Its one of the only British films to go well... and because of this, guess whats happened?
The Americans have totally ripped it off with their new horror film thats out at the cinemas right now. Bastards.

Havoc 03-31-2004 08:58 AM

what movie would that be?

Esus 03-31-2004 09:26 AM

I forget its name. Its slogan is: When hells full, the dead will walk the earth - or something to that effect.

Edit: Just saw a TV advert for it: It's called "Dawn of the Dead"

SeaRex 03-31-2004 10:07 AM

You guys do know that the film you are speaking of is a REMAKE, right?

The original Dawn of the Dead premiered in like... what? Late '70s? Early '80s?

Majic 03-31-2004 11:54 AM

It was 1979, I believe. An ungodly classic that never should've been touched, I say. And hell, the whole remaking aspect wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for a few reasons.

a) Fast zombies. The people who like that aspect should all die. Now.
b) People dissing the original just because of age.
c) People who've never even seen the original calling the remake better.

I cringe every time I hear somebody say "Ooo I'm a n00b and I totally think Dawn of the Dead looks so uber cool and pwning." Gah.

Havoc 03-31-2004 12:42 PM

I never realy got what is good about movies being entirely about dead ppl killing ppl who are then also dead ppl killing ppl and so on...

You always know how those movies are gonna end: Either with a big sword chopping of head in a killing dead ppl frenzie, solving a quest making all zombies drop dead in the city or they just fannish in some smoke never to be heard of again...
And the story ALWAYS sucks... no exeptions!

If I ever watch such a movie without shooting my TV to bits, SHOOT ME!

Majic 03-31-2004 03:03 PM

Ah, no no no. Dawn of the Deat is much more than just typical horror, thought hat's what the remake seems to have turned it into. There's zombie and human killing of course, but it has more to it that just that.

nads 03-31-2004 03:17 PM

Add Office Space to mine.

I want to see DotD with AS, yelling "PENIS!" the whole way through.

It'd be good times...good times

Esus 04-01-2004 05:43 AM

gah, whatever. Stupid lack of knowledge. How I hate having it.

Fez 04-01-2004 07:19 AM

Dawn of the Dead was very good, the remake looks crap. I still think 28 days later is much better though. I should make a thread about what you would do if you were in that situation....

DarkHoodness 04-01-2004 10:30 AM

Urgh, I'm too tired to think, but here, have 6 of my top films. :)
In no particular order:

1. Lord of the Rings (all 3)
2. Star Wars (all 5)
3. A Bugs Life
4. Shrek
5. The Minority Report
6. Ali-G In Da House!

I'll probably edit this post and add more when I'm a little more awake.
