If OW fans ask too many questions, and want everything explained, they're going to find out that it's just a game. I like talking about stuff like this; it's fun. But if you dig too deep, your going to be dissapointed.(Not talking to anyone in particular.)

I didn't know the Gabbits had a moon. :fuzconf:
|
Then you haven't got the good ending in Munch's Oddysee, have you?
|
Hey, I was playing AO today and I noticed a new characters Moon! I looked like a 3 toed foot, I wonder who that new character will be?
|
Some of the moons are blank; what is OWI going to do about that? Some have said that something could be on the other side. Our moon doesn't rotate, so the only way for a blank moon to reveal it's dark side is for a small meteor to temporaraly knock it out of alignment...or something like that. :fuzzle:

Ok I can do that! It was pretty cool! Maybe it's Squeak's foot!
Ok here's the code: E1PO3CO5. It's kinda small, but you can see a foot with 3 toes in Stockyards! See ya! |

Simulated Response: Just don't do it again. Alright. :crying: :crying: :crying: |

For reference, every screen in Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus has a unique code name. If you pause the game, it'll tell you that code. There's nothing particularly computery about it.
|
Have you looked at it yet? I want to see what ya think! :D
|
I saw the moon. I think it just looks like some craters, but it does have a possibility of being something since it's so far away looking.
|
I went and saw it, yes. Looked very interesting. I made a little sketch, plus a couple of simple line drawings of the kind of foot I would have thought could make such a footprint.
Or it could just be a trick of the light, or OWI playing with our minds again. They do like putting little clues about future games about - Meeches in AO, Guardians in AE, Sea Rexes in MO... |
I'd hate to say this but I saw it and to me it looked like it might be the one with Abe's handprint but then again i might be wrong...
|
Abe's handprint is in another screen and it's HUGE!!! I think it looks like a foot to me! Thanx Max! See ya!
|
yes almost all the moons were showing you their ass not their face, how inconvenient, and i will look at that screen, but i told you these numerous moons meant something, bravo guys:D

I have a ?I went to a level at the stockyards and went to a secreat was and a Abe portel was there and a slog I had to run and make a roll to the other side. And there was the moon Abe saw!how could Abe fall down in that place when he falls somewhere esle!
|
One solution: playing through the level gives the impression of travelling in a straight line, when in fact the path can turn left and right - it's just not represented onscreen because it's a 2D game. After that first Slog, the path ahead might curve round to the right, which would bring Abe pretty much in front of it.
Doesn't explain how the moon gets so much bigger, though. |
The fact is, the Oddworld as it first was before MO and SO, was the one that sold like hotcakes. When Lorne realises that this isn't what the fans want, he will start to try and immerse us all in more of that Oddworldish landscape we all loved so much.
The other fact is, I think by now most people just browse through their favourite screenshots, admiring the background, rather than playing the game (as fun as that can be). For one thing, I really wish I could go off and explore those places I saw in the distance during the original oddworld series... |
Very true, Death. After hearing the AO soundtrack, I dug out my PlayStation with the intent of listening to the AO music, but once again got caught up with all the in-game art. You notice some interesting things if you look carefully. I think the environments in Oddworld 4 are going to be a lot better than those in MO. By the way, SO stands for Squeek's Oddysee. The only name for Steef's game so far is Oddworld 4. Just clearing up confusion.
