At another message board I post at and a few others that I have seen, they have 1 forum for general Chit chat and one for serious discussion. That way all of the stupid things wouldn't be in the Serious Forum. But the problem about trying that here is that this place is too small and it would take people away from the Oddwold games itself.

The Elite Forum idea really Sucks. We want to attract people here not keep them away. If there was a "special" forum for good people then most people wouldn't want to stay here if they wern't the "Special" people.

We're not saying we just want Serious Discussion, just that we want interesting topics instead of dull, boring, "Will you be my friend" topics, or just plain pointless spam... We want Serious and Non-Serious things in here...

How can you say you do not want dumb stuff like "will you be my friend" if you havent even got rid of all the forum members on this site who dont post and have names that mock oddworld and this forum. These people make the site look unorganized and definately adds to the pointless-ness, and isnt this just as bad or a worse problem?

Deleting non-posting members is a bad idea for lots of reasons. The main ones being the politics and logistics of the whole idea.

What is the point of getting rid of them if they never post? They're not getting in the way; nobody would even notice that they were there unless they went and read through the Member List, and who's that sad, really?

Go to a political board like a RATM board or some such thing. And if we are all about weighty issues, why has not one word been said about the middle eastern problem with Arafat and Sharone? Maybe people come here because it has a nice atmosphere and isn't so heavy. I like this place, but the special board would just add to the "I got my posts than you, so you are a worthless newbie" problem.
