Abe's Exoddus is also my favorite game of all time, and in my eyes, The remake simply cannot beat it. The original means too much to me.
But that's fine. I never expect remakes to be better than the originals anyway. I just want to be good recreations that do the originals proud. And despite everything said, that what I got out of New 'N' Tasty; So I have high hopes for the AE remake. Also I'm with FA. AE is the best game I've ever played. But before you say anything sarcy, I'm going drop the everything is subjective bomb. There is no "best game ever". It's your opinion. |
The RE1 remake is miles better than the original.
That’s because RE1 is a bad game.
If it was a bad game it wouldn't have such a huge following and a million sequels?
Isn't REmake faithful to the original? Shouldn't it be sucky as well, if that's the case?
Cut out all the ridiculously unnecessary padding and vastly rework the hub system towards the end of the game and it could be considerably better than the original
Padding such as? The only AE puzzles I thought were shit were the laughing gas + slam door ones and the 'kill 'em' glukkon v slog parts. Even then only because of their repetitiveness. Hey, why just do it once when we can have these puzzles 7 or 8 times?
I 'm quite curious to see if they are going to re-make AE in the same way they re-made AO or if they will take a different approach. They are already switching devloppers so I guess anything is possible.
Hopefully they will go back to tile-based movement.
The hub system definitely needs a redesign, Soulstorm Brewery made me want to tear my eyes out, it would just never end.
:
So are you suggesting a more condensed version of AE? Remove those endless huds and remove the repetitive puzzles?
@Neppy - Which subsequently got shat on circa RE4. Unpopular opinion alert.
Also Fishkopf, I doubt that they will, it'd be very time consuming and a bit out of touch with the modern 2.5D platformer market. |
:
I just don't really like RE4 because it's not like the first three and I don't like change.
Please, back on topic.

Beans, gravy, Rebacca Chambers and Leon S. Kennedy.

:
![]() SoulStorm Brewery’s only problem was that there’s no indication of progression until you reach the final level. If they gave you an idea of how far you had to go it would be fine. |

I'm going to close this thread as it's turning into either a spamfest or a duplicate of the suggestions thread.
