Ah, okay. So they didn't really shove in some more Muds, then.

You can rescue more by using a glitch in paramionian temple There were, like, milion of threads about it (Even I made one), and you can't find it?

I didn't really look.

@Wil, Um... I'm not sure If I understood you correctly, but I'll link that in case you're saying that noone can save more than 99 muds:

http://www.oddworldforums.net/showthread.php?t=18467

@Nep, now you don't have to.

Did you count the number of Mudokons that you made jump through portals? If so, I want to see a list of all the individual Mudokons. Until that happens, I maintain that it is just the bugginess of the counter.

Varrok 12-12-2012 10:08 AM

It's just a pair (I guess) of Muds who came through a portal, then I died, and they respawned, so I rescued them again. There aren't more than 99 different-placed mudokons in AO.

There is a bug, that I've never been able to replicate, that screws up the rescue counts if you backtrack through the first RuptureFarms level in the right way. I don't believe there are genuinely more than 99 Mudokons you can lead through bird portals, not least because in 15 years no one has ever been able to list >99.

Yeah, but has anyone bothered to count since Sinjin did his walkthrough?

marlz 12-14-2012 04:21 PM

Well, I know that without glitches, the counts stay within reason.
The total number of employees glitches out if you kill the last Native Mudokon in RuptureFarms II with a grenade, but yeah looking back at older threads the rescue total can only be increased beyond 9 by forgetting to fire flintlocks and then rescuing Mudokons in a trial (in one of the secret passages) a second time.

That aside, excellent interview Nate. Definitely made for a good read and added so much more insight into the Odd world, expanding on those extra nuggets of knowledge I learned from the Eurogamer presentation and prior knowledge.
