the One Ring on the condition i possess all the power to do superduper shit and take over the world and not just go invisible, which'd be pretty wank.

I'm quite confused by so many people choosing the pillow. What is the point in having all the fictional characters in the world if they lose their superpowers?
Or is it just about raping Galadriel? |
Since when were the only useful characters superhuman?
You only get them for a night, though. You join the dots.
I misread it. I thought it said you become that person.
Only for a night? Shit, I didn't read hard enough.
Uhh, maybe the reincarnation pill. A human body of my description? The possibilities are endless! |
Not as endless as you'd think. Very quickly I realise that my descriptions are no longer human by any standard definition.
Not to mention that if your memories and experiences from your previous life carried over to the next, you'd be getting short-changed due to the proportional time paradox that comes with aging. Your next lifetime would be only about half the length of your former one, and so on and so forth.
Unless of course that gets reset too. We assume that it comes from having a long memory. No one has ever done the experiment where they suddenly become young again.
Fuck it, I'd still take the pillow.
Bang Cortana one night, Catwoman the next. |
Yeah, the more I think about it the more I remember that I'd probably just be a horny bastard with my choice.
Plus you could conjure Ryu to fuck up your enemies. |

I think their lack of a central nervous system will influence the results of any memory study.
Sometimes I think you're too much of a geek for your own good.
My fear is the opposite: that I'm not enough of a geek to make use of it.
After much consideration (and by much I mean a few seconds), I decided the monocle, then I'd go searching for dropped £50 notes...
If we had a second choice, I'd rescind my previous ideas and get the mech, because who's going to argue with someone who owns a mech? |
The guy with Iron Man suit, I guess
Nah, my mech is better.
Bring it.
If I took the bath robe would it just be water i can control? or things made out of water too? would they just turn back into water if i tried controlling it?
I can't imagine using it for anything other than using it to keep me dry.
Iron Man suit is equivalent to the mech, except that it's more convenient. You can do stuff with it indoors.
I'd take the bathrobe.
"Manipulate" is such a broad term, who's to say the user couldn't manipulate water into a portal to another dimension or something equally awesome? Plus you could make a ton of money by holding fresh water ransom or converting seawater into drinkable water. |
You could drill holes with it. Everyone likes holes.
Exactly. You can't drill holes with The One Ring or a magic pillow.
No need. They come with their own holes.
:
I... uhhh... You know what? I don't need to know the answer. |
I kind of figured that the magic pillow would...
Fuck robot wars, now I want to have a robe at war. Controlling water is cool, but you know what's cooler? Conjured weaponry made of piss.
You'd be that supervillain all the other supervillains would avoid at parties.
