Well the giant structures coming out of the ground in the Halo 3 trailer look like the Shadowlock but it coincidentally activates the Storm like the one in the trailer to appear over RuptureFarms. Coincidence? NO LoL

So I'm not sure if this animation was used in HL 2 but if it wasn't it's possible.

u can get a puff, sit on it, and then say that its an oddworld font

that isnt really oddworld spotting, well, its is but thats just the basic saucer shape, theres lots of them, you see them all the time, not in real life obviously.

I was assuming it was a reference to aliens because there was also alot of hints here and there of aliens. Like: Vykker's Labs using the beam under the Lab to abduct specimens, they perform numerous experiments of lifeforms for no explained reason, they look like traditional aliens(short with large brains and gray skin), etc.
The saucer shape comparing cloud city your right about but the other stuff seems like too much to be coincidence :/

Or one of the MO storm shrines or whatever there called.

I've always heard the squarky croaking bird that's heard an awful lot on Oddworld. I'll often hear it when I'm watching a TV show set in the jungle or something, and I think I've heard it once when I was in a zoo somewhere. It bugs the hell out of me, particularly because I was under the impression it was unique to Oddworld.
