wow it does makes perfect sense. how did you gather this info max?
|
Are you serious?
They are not holograms.... Damnit all. This is what happens when we don't get a new Oddworld game, people start going wack. |
Come on think about it. there was no way for the glukkons to leave. Also, I'm just saying it makes sense. And another thing, there's not much else to talk about here any way. every thing else has been talked about many, many times.
|
I don't think your crazy.
Logically, it's possible, sure. But I don't believe that was the impression we were ment to get. If you look at each platform, you can see that they retract into the wall, this hints to me that they are designed to fold out into the position they are in. Also, end of the game, two Sligs caputre Abe on center platform, how did they get out? That door does work, the board room is just ment to look odd so you feel like you don't understand how their tech works, makes the whole factory feel close to home, yet alien at the same time. Yes I've noticed there has been a shortage of topics... the off topic discussion has left me shocked to be frank with the type of content it contains. I'm surprised there seems to be no political discussion, or enviromental discussion, wasn't oddworld about industry, greed and destruction of the planet? Thats happening today, why isn't anyone talking about it? |
Sloghuts? I don't think that's a good design, considering Slogs eat Glukkons.
And of course the holographic projectors retract! Otherwise the lenses would get dusty. |
:
I always figured the floor pannels/ramps came out of the center platform and connect to the door, while the other smaller platforms retract up into another room. Maybe in the future we might see a board room in more detail =] |

The FMV shows us that: - RuptureFarms was losing profits. - Glukkon partners/investors were concerned. - Molluck already had a backup plan. ZERO evidence to suggest that any of the Glukkons stopped visiting, the boardroom was full. :
Is a Glukkon known to donate or provide moolah for projects that have zero returns? No, it's not their character. We have never been given such an impression. What evidence do we have to confirm that holographic equipment was: - Purchased - Use of Muds to program animatics - Use of said holographic equipment There is no evidence. :
Do you assume RF would kill 99 muds, send 99 pops to the retailers, and expect to make enough of a profit to stop the company going under? If that was the case, why did the chart say that the supply of Muds was through the roof? 99 products is nothing, wouldnt last a day in stock, not for the largest meat processing plant on a planet 10x the size of our own. There is only one flaw I see in the plan. RF would have to pay for it's stock. This means they would need to make enough profit per Mud Pop sold to cover the cost of each Mud they paid for. If Molluck could pull that off, he has a never ending supply of stock. Endless stock + Large consumer market = Enough Moolah to drown in. |
Have you ever heard that the scrab-like rocks around te Scrabanian Temple were actually formed naturally that way and Scrabs eveolved to look like them for better camouflege?

Yeah. Mudokons "make" rock formations. Sure.
Next you'll be claiming that Munch rescued Fuzzles for some reason other than Fuzzles are Gabbit larvae. |

Jesus Christ, MeechMunchie, that's incredibly fucking rude. How dare you call EVP_Glukkon a joke.
|

Muds once had the ability to construct temples and other buildings, however they don't seem to recall how or with what technology. I would be surprised that you don't know this, but I assume you do know, and this entire argument is sarcasm. :
I guess your all just bored or something... |
EVP-Glukkon, I'm going to be the nice guy here and burst your bubble. We're all a bunch of sarcastic bastards that have long ago exhausted all of our theories and thoughts on these games. Now we're just posting smart ass responses to those who are too lazy or stupid to search the forums for the same topics that have been closed and re-closed over and over again.
Not unlike the average American who eats when they're bored, we gang-rape the few people left who have genuine interest in Oddworld-related topics for our kicks. We feed on the naivity and curiosity of fresh members like lampreys. All official theories and information can be found on the Oddworld Encyclopedia - outside of that, this is all just circular conjecture and hearsay. It's fun to kick around theories for a little while, but ultimately we're just bored. |
Sekto Springs is kind of right here most people on this forums are bored (hell, some have been here for over 6 years).
EVP_Glukkon you seem to be someone interesting (not the average noob), so I'd like to welcome you on this forums. It's actually a pretty nice place once you get to know it's members. |
I will also make a slightly politer response to EVP_G. When I said 'joke' I was simply pointing out that used: )s comment on the scrab statues being natural was a joke. We all know the muds built the temples, and you don't need to point it out to us.
|
I thought it was obvious? What do you think those 10-20 Sligs around the mudokon temple area all year round?! Obviously they not only know weaponry, but also sculpting! Next time you see the Sligs... say Hi and thank them!
Note: Everything I have posted above is a lie. |
Yeah.. I figured as much.
Ya'll seem like a nice bunch of guys, and alot of the comments I've read around here are pretty damn funny. We need a new oddworld game damnit... |
did you note a psychiatrist like i suggested?
|
No, I find the madness here to be comforting from the horror that is my life.

I think the board room should work kind of like a massive room with retractible walls, kind of like a stadium with a retractible dome. However in the case of the board room, instead of the ceiling retracting, the walls retract.
So with this in mind, perhaps the Glukkens simply come to the room and stand on their platforms and perhaps Molluck's platform is sort of like a rising platform coming from his personal office. Then Molluck's Slig advisor simply throws a switch and the walls of the boardroom retract inwards so that the execs can have their meeting in privacy. That to me seems logically the most realistic mechanics of the Board Room. In my own opinion I would make it that way. However I am not Lorne Lanning so this is not my story. Mainly what I am saying is that all of your theories and I am talking about everybody who posted in this thread, can be right or wrong. We just don't know about the mechanics of the board room. But in all honesty I don't think from a stories point of view that things such as this is very important in terms of plot and story development. However its nice to talk about it. I think that the board room should never be explained to keep the story moving and to keep it simple. Some things should remain a mystery and should be interpreted differently by everybody like what we are doing right now on these forums. |
And where the hell have you been, PA?
|
where do you think? Personally Advising someone, of course.

I have been around observing or more like reading topics.
For me though I have yet to be inspired enough to post a topic remotely interesting. With lack of news and new stuff its just same old same old. Every now and then ill post like now. I dunno mann! |
