Because Games Workshop are dicks.

Anonyman! 06-16-2009 10:49 AM

Yeah. They really are.

And the employees at their stores are fucktarded. It's like going to a goddamn Gamestop.

I think I may have the only non-fucktarded EB Games/Gamestop in the world. All of the employees know their shit, and if one doesn't know something another almost always does.

This is when you hack the model files from your favourite games, convert them, and replicate your very own merchandise.

This would certainly make it worth finally acquiring and learning a 3D modelling software (like Maya, not like ProDesktop... actually, this printer would have made my product design A-levels so much easier). I have lots of designs I would like to recreate, not least because I draw best from reference, and a mannequin-like object for sketching different angles of my strange creations would be a godsend.

abe is now! 06-16-2009 11:40 AM

And if I haven't got a 3d printer?

used:) 06-16-2009 12:24 PM

Yep. :)

I'd love to actually learn how to sculpt by hand, but that just doesn't seem likely. I think the execution of an idea is important, but the idea itself is just as important. It's not like this would lower the value of sculpting by giving this ability to everyone.

You're going to have to make an AC plug and Video cables, too, as well as put in something to weigh it down.

Unless you're selling it on the internet.

I'll be carefull to word do nobody can accuse me of anything.

You'd be surprised at how decisive people can be. In one of my stupider moments I tried selling "DS software" in the form of a CD with an emulator on it. I made it more or less airtight but Ebay had it down in hours.

Similarly, I tried selling "BRAND NEW XBOX 360 pics". Someone won the auction but it was really close to christmas, so I told them that I was trying to trick people and apologized. The guy was pretty understanding.

Like what BM said, this would of made my Design Technology Graphics GCSE so much better than it is.

I would make some oddworld characters, that's the only thing I can think of right now. but what if the printer runs out of plastic, were do you get more and how much does it cost?

EDIT: I'm buying this... not really... I don't have enough money... neither do I have a job that produces a high income... I'm not old enough:( oh by the way my age that I put in on the forums is like 18 0r 20 I forgot. But I'm not really that old... can't even drive yet.

Nate 06-23-2009 05:39 PM

If it runs out of plastic, you buy more from the same website.

Also, I have no idea what you're trying to say in the second paragraph. That shit don't make no sense.

I'm saying that I'm younger then sixteen so I can't get a job, besides chores like washing cars the neighbors cars and mowing their lawns. This is the rules in America. And I also said that I set my age at 18 when I signed up for the forums. but I'm actually a couple years younger than that... yes this doesn't have much to do with the topic, but I was just trying to say that I would buy it if I could. hope I explained it enough now.

OANST 06-24-2009 12:24 PM

Could you explain it some more? I'm confused. Why don't has moneys now?
