very nice style on the Grandville Rabbit.

Thank you, Leto. I really admire Grandville's work, both in style and in content, and hope to some day be as good an artist as he.
Well, it's been awhile since I last posted anything, but life's been keeping me busy. So now that it's break and I have some time, here's a faun I drew in a Grandville-ish style. I don't know why, but I really like the idea of fauns. They're interesting little beasties.:D |
hehe as I told you before this is just soooo cuteeee :D
especially the legs are well drawn ;) |
He's very cute. As I said before, good work on the anatomy.
|
Yay for catching up with art threads :D, I really like your Jungian shadow (Does this mean you have an Extroverted personality?), that rabbit is quite possibly one of the best line art pictures I've seen on teh interwebz and the Nymph is really cute :) good work on the anatomy as Glacierdragon says and I really look forward to seeing your next piece of very inspired artwork (Maybe you could try drawing your animus? ;)).

Thank you Scipionyx. You're always so nice in your compliments (blush)
Thank you GlacierDragon; I'm glad you think the anatomy is good. Heheh. Faun people are pretty cute, aren't they? Thank you so much Wings of Fire!! That was probably one of the nicest compliments anyone ever gave me! I really do appreciate it (^_^). Hmmmmm.....I think I'm more of a introvert, actually. As for my animus, I'll draw him after I've gone into a psychological wander in the mind. Wish me luck!:D Man, it does feel like it's been forever since I posted anything, and since the last post, I've delved a bit further into exploring what colored pencils can do. They can be tricky buggers, but they're more fun to use than a barrel of hedgehogs:D. This next work is a study I did of a mountain cottontail, of which, apparently, little is known. I hope you like it! |
you're welcome Crazysteef :D
+rep for this picture! the fur and the shading are awesome it looks verry realistic and again it's so cute! yay for cottontails! :3 |

Thank ya very much scipionyx! Indeed, bunnies in all their many different forms are very cute. Especially, in my humble opinion, those drawn by Beatrix Potter.:D In order to practice more with pen and ink and also to try my hand more at depictions of mythological creatures, I made this image of the Chimera. She was a hard beast to draw, what with all her heads and strange anatomy, but it was an interesting experience to draw this dangerous mythological figure as if she is just another animal living out in the wild. At least, that's what I strove to convey... |
cool an update! :D when I look at all the drawings you uploaded in this thread I see that you've improved much :) great! ;)
|
Awww, she looks really cute! I didn't notice the goat head munching away on grass before.
|
Thanks scipionyx!!!! Heheh. I have heard its a law of nature that the more you do something the better you're going to get at it :D
Thanks GlacierDragon! The goat part of the chimera was fun to draw, especially since its doing something not usually attributed to the chimera. (^_^) Whew. It's been quite awhile since I last posted anything up. In any case, I've been trying to do watercolors of plants and animals, and recently made a decent attempt (I think anyway) on a gooseberry. It was a fun study, and I have a feeling I'll be trying more plant watercolors in the future... |
aw nice ^^ I love the details :D
