Some of the animators that lorne approached didnt like the idea of stepping down into game design, which doesnt surprise me really...

I bet they're kicking themselves now.

Yes. the first two games they get baten by Sligs but have you played Munch's Oddysee? You send your Mudokon/Fuzzle friends to attack the enemies.

That SUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! doesn't it?

I always hated the tougher Mudokons in MO. You couldn't feel sorry for them at all. The Mudokons in AO and AE were so helpless and did nothing but do as they were told because they were so afraid of getting hurt.

Now they're just brutes :dodgy:

Off Topic: You know MeechShrykull, you can always use Ebay. There are probably pleanty of New AO and AE games there.

I hate cinema,I love games.
I loved Oddworld Inhabitants games, but my provision says that I won't like the movie.

I know what you mean, but it was OWI's way to show that once free and fed correctly, the muds simply wanted some revenge on the industrial world.

I guess you can understand their point of view

I just hope if and when the Abe's Oddysee movie comes out Abe will still look the same. And Lorne can still make his voice. :(
My twin and I were talking about that the other day.

I think Abe's bound to change a bit every time he appears in a game or movie. Not drastically, just because of the quality improvements (compare AO Abe with MO Abe, that's what I mean).

As for the voice, we have already seen an example (or two, I don't know how Abe sounds in MO... German version...). But I think the voice change between AO and AE was good, I prefer the latter version. When the movie comes out, we might hear an even better voice, you never know.

I wouldn't exactly call MO's Abe an improvment. He looks like a varnished wax model.

If Abe's voice changes, they are at risk of losing many fans. In Munch's Oddysee, Abe's voice was a combination of AO and AE voice, which I feel works best for the fun world of the games. But I feel in order to make the Movie really dark natured, they may have to use the AO voice - He seems more of a pathetic, innocent victim, the unlikely hero with that voice.
