I was a bit dissapointed, actually. I was expecting a Lich-like-uber-badass creature, ut all I saw was a guy with glowing eyes?

SeaRex 06-11-2007 11:43 AM

Bah. Stupid Mannimarco. My necromancer character needed his robe and staff to be rightfully "complete," but I would of had to give up the Necromancer's Amulet to continue the Mage's Guild quest line.

And that, quite simply, would never. Frickin. Happen. That thing was my precious. You could make all sorts of crazy-ass spells with that thing.

You should have gotten the Necromancer's Amulet back when you finished the quest. That thing was the best mage item in the game. Period.

Arxryl 06-11-2007 12:46 PM

Mannimarco... they should have at least made him a bit more powerful. My first time through the game I beat him with an iron claymore... I hoping for more of a fight...

And the Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine expansions really rock! The new armor and side quests are pretty fun to complete. However, I felt the Knights of the Nine was kinda easy... but fun to complete.

Daxter King 06-11-2007 06:47 PM

Just played Oblivion again. Wow its fun. I went to Imperial City and pirates and vampires just got thrown in. Great stuff.

speed the scrab 06-12-2007 11:25 AM

Manimarco couldn't necromance his way out of a paper bag and believe me I killed him with my fists when I was still a novice.

Oooh. I love that. A hearty "LAWL" to you, good sir.

If I still played Oblivion, I'd put it in my sig. :p

Thanks sea rex.;)

Laser 06-13-2007 11:05 AM

but i love the wabbajack staff

*drools*

mitsur 06-13-2007 12:46 PM

My Argonian spellwarrior would pwn all your puny necromancer pussies.

Full daedra armor including the shield, Umbra sword, and a huge stockpile of staffs and potions.

I was a walking armory.

Daxter King 06-13-2007 02:13 PM

What do you mean was?

Hey, if you dont have necromancy as a main skill, then how do you get it upgraded, most spells require level 25.

Arxryl 06-13-2007 03:10 PM

Well, you can't have necromancy as a skill. It just won't let you. The ability to summon things thouh is labeled "Conjuration" and you can get easy spells for it such as "Summon Skeleton" and "Summon Scamp".

One of my favorite skills.

Daxter King 06-13-2007 03:51 PM

Conjuration is what I ment. Wish I had chosen it as one of my major skills.

speed the scrab 06-14-2007 01:55 PM

You should have done some of the things you can summon with a high level are awesome!

if you choose it as a major skill, you automatically get a summon skeleton spell. I love having the possibility of summoning a Deadroth whenever I want to. those things kick arse.

Daxter King 06-14-2007 02:23 PM

I just use scrolls for now.

Salamander 06-14-2007 05:34 PM

There is no point in taking Conjuration as a Major Skill, it levels so fast that anyone could easily be a master in it. Conjuration can easily be levelled by making a spell that only last one second.

If your a member of the arcane university there's some amusing and useful spells you can make:

Casanova:charm 100 points for 3 secs on touch(saves money on bribing)

Human freight train (x) feather/fortify strength 100 pts for 120 secs on self(relace x with numbers so you can make as many as want)

master of camoflauge :100% for 30 secs on self

And just for fun

Pub fight! :frenzy level (x) for (x) ft for 25 secs on target

C4: fire damage 3 pts for 100 ft on target

(note some of these spells need quite high levels and magicka but still if you can cast them you reap the benifits)

Arxryl 06-15-2007 02:08 PM

I need to try that Pub fight spell.... ;)

Anyone know where I can get a spell that unlocks all locks?

You have to make it yourself. You can make an "Unlock Very Hard Lock" spell, provided you already have any Unlock spell, and your Alteration skill is high enough. It may have to be 100, not sure.

Damn, I have it in the 20s or 30s. Though I do have an unlock easy spell.

speed the scrab 06-16-2007 08:00 AM

Why don't you just get the skeleton key?

Around fishermens rock north of leyawin is a daedric shrine that asks you to retrive something.

So go to leyawin and talk to the guards about the subject leyawin they'll tell you about an argonian that was bragging about a heist.

go to his house ,talk to him and crouch near the door to over hear a talk about where they stashed the item.

Go to tide water cave, retrive the eye of nocturnal and bring it back to the shrine to be rewarded with the skeleton key an unbreakable lockpick and a 40 point bonus on your security skill.;)

Daxter King 06-16-2007 06:18 PM

He, I just figured out where the evil peoples' hideout is, how far am I in the game?

Arxryl 06-16-2007 07:26 PM

Not very far. you are about.... one 16th through the main quest. It's fun killing all the mythic dawn agents tho'... :):):):):) Smiley goodness.

Daxter King 06-16-2007 07:43 PM

Whew, good. Any idea on when I get my next quest item or meet someone that will level up my abilities?

mitsur 06-16-2007 07:46 PM

Well, I think you were suposed to sneak in and play along, not kill everyone.

I dunno, you might be sooner than I think you are.

BTW, played a bit of Oblivion today and got bored quickly. So I rerolled as a mage named Gandalf and starting burninating the peasents, while listening to the Trogdor theme. Great fun.

Wow, No. I'd say he's completed roughly 33% the main quest.

Ah that is the joy of multiple saves. I always make a new one, in case I ever want to go on a rampage.

Meh. I'm not really sure... with how long and tedious some of the tasks are it makes the main quest seem a lot longer, but I think you may be correct. But the hard stuff is still to come.
