^^BAD PUN ALERT!!^^
But seriously, that priest deserves to rot in jail. As much as I am pro-religious freedom, this is just way too much. Anyway the guy wasn't even following church doctrine cos they say that you shouldn't do exorcisms any more, so he can't even say he was following orders (not that that is an excuse). Its just as bad as people who don't go to doctors or use medicine cos its "interfering with god's plan" |
Actually nate: -Link-, the parents did have the kid on meds for his condition. They claim it wasn't working and now there is a dispute on whether it was the priest crushing him or if it was the meds that killed the kid.
Either way...that priests actions were inexcuseable. You just don't lay on top of a kid that is so much smaller then you, especially for two hours! Priest had no common sense... :fuzmad: then again....that's not really surprising is it? |
It would be a pretty fscking big coincidence, wouldn't it, if the kid happened to die from the medications he was on while he was being lain on by a 350 pound priest in an 80-degree room for two hours? Five years in prison is not, in my opinion, enough for the priest. Thinking it through from a logical standpoint, it's a cut-and-dried case: that priest is guilty as sin (no pun intended). But knowing our legal system, I have this creeping fear that he'll be declared innocent. I just hope all the members of the jury are atheists.

Some judges would rather die than throw a holy man in the slammer.

Yeh good point.
I would be really p**ed if my kid was killed. |
That priest should be...excommunicated or whatever its called.
:
...no offence to them, but...twats :fuzconf: |
All that "holy medicine" Shit is well... bullshit. Put that priest in jail. That story pissed me off... MYAH.

:
1. Exorcism 2. No medicine anyway, there is no cure for autism, just a few drugs that can calm the kid down if he gets upset. |
