The fact that you typed out a 4 paragraph response to one sentence shows how hard you got trolled.

How about stay on-topic, ah?!
AbeMudokon has been sent many messages asking if it's going to be on psn/xbl, but he never answer like people would like to. I'm one of them! Do you guys think all the new games are going to be released on both platforms? Sorry if it's off-topic! I'm new here |

The second was trying to get it back on-topic. The other two were to "everyone else", which means not you. ;) But, of course, that's all irrelevant. It's never the size. It's the content. Someone good at trolling would know that. |
Daxter King stop the stupid trolling, really what are you trying to achieve here?
Anyway, I have to admit it's kind of weird MS caps the download size differently when it's a Game on Demand or Arcade Game |
Probably because Games on Demand are worth it because they're almost guarenteed to sell well.
|
Buuuuuuut, it's supposedly not an arbitrary cap, but rather a technical cap. Which doesn't make any damn sense.
|
The way the two things work are completely different. Like, where and how they store the data. It's different. I'm no Xbox 360 mechanic, so I don't know the exact details on the differences, but that's the answer.
|
Okay, but that doesn't make any damn sense. Now that I know that it's a problem with the way that the game is stored, I'm just going to store it differently.

It may well be a beaurocratic restriction rather than a hardware one. Perhaps they take a smaller cut of the profit off Arcade games and thus want to limit the number of games in that list. The result would be that games that are especially large or polished would be forced to go through a standard release (followed by a Games On Demand release) and not just be on the Arcade.
|
Games on Demand are just retail games that did very well, and we're put on that service a year or so later. If what you're saying was the case then we would see a whole lot more than we currently have. No. Microsoft cleans up on the Arcade games.

Would you be willing to bet that they didn't sell well?
|
Do you guys think an announcement will happen tomorrow or something?
AbeMudokon tweeted: "One of my buddies from Mudos is saying hi tomorrow #Oddworld"! I hope so... XD |
I also hope so.
Gillrod tweeted earlier that: "Friday September 3rd, such a good day for news ;-)" Which technically could mean a good day for awful, terrible, horrific news but probably means a good day for good news. ;-) |
:
|
It's possible we will hear something tomorrow. But it might not be an announcement of the game yet or anything. Could very well be anything. They might also get shafted by things again and not be able to announce what they want to. I'll make sure to keep checking back tomorrow anyway, of course.
|
Yeah :/
An announcement is to much to ask for, but maybe some information, I guess :) |
:
Could be Alf, could be Munch, could be Bigface, could be Shaman from Munch's Oddysee, could be some new chump... could be cancelled. |
This 'buddy' better announce something substantial. I'm sick of all the:
"It's coming soon! Not much longer now! http://28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l0...ylvso1_250.gif" |

(Looking into some of the maps but can't seem to find it out, still think I read somewhere that Stranger's Wrath was on another continent on Oddworld.) Edit: Woot! 1000th post! :D Edit2: Did a bit more research, turns out I was wrong, Abe's Oddysee, Abe's Exoddus and Munch's Oddysee take place in Eastern Mudos, And Stranger's Wrath takes place in Western Mudos. Would be funny if Stranger said Hi together with Abe haha! |
:
|
WTF?!
Shouldn't it be in 2.5D? This won't be for sure! |
IF you're talking about the Stranger remake, of course it won't be in 2.5D. JAW are working on multiple projects for Oddmobb, you know.
|
Sure Stranger remake won't be in 2.5D duh, but the 2.5D news came first than Stranger remake for PS3, so I was expecting the first new game would be in 2.5D!
Anyways, Gilrod already said Stranger remake is just to bring Oddworld back to the PlayStation and to get more time to work on other projects related to Oddworld! |
Is anyone else really disappointed in the news?
|

|
:
I haven't had a PS3 for a year and a half; if it was a new game for the PS3, then I would most likely go out and repurchase myself a PS3, but a remake hasn't convinced me. Which is a shame because I kinda want as much money to be made of this project as possibly can, so we can get more games out of JAW & OM. Perhaps I'll throw some change into OddMobb's charity collection box on the way out. |
If it was a new game that was PS3 exclusive I'd be even more disappointed. I got the Xbox purely because MO and SW were released on them. I would not buy a PS3 if the new games were released for that.
|
:
That said, if it was 360 exclusive, I think I'd most likely go and purchase one of them.. Its on my to-purchase list as well, I guess. |
:
I know that so far you've only really had experience with PSN, which has released some fine games, but it gets nothing like the support that Live Arcade does. They put a ton of resources into that service, and it pays off for them. There are plenty of games on Live Arcade that perform better than full retail releases. |
Okay, but I still don't see how you're disagreeing with me. So what that they support XBLA well? I was simply saying that probably they make more money out of a retail game than an Arcade game.
|
Sigh...
If it was a 2.5D remake of both the Playstation Oddworld games being released on Xbox 360 and PS3, I'd be jumping with joy, but as it is, I'm not too interested. Especially considering the fact I don't own a PS3. But at least we know Oddworld should be coming back. |
Whilst waiting for this reveal I felt pretty safe in owning both the ps3 and 360, so Im obviously very happy. I do feel bad for the 360 only people but remember this is just the beginning.
Twitter -"AbeMudokon: Stranger on PSN is probably the first of a few announcements." |
Sigh, I really hope this isn't the announcement we've been waiting for since July. It would be stupid not to mention fanboyish to assume that even half of us would be interested in a game we've already played simply because it's going to a specific platform.
|
:
I know that at this point, I have had to delete about eighty percent of my games so that I can make room for new games. |
