It's called rape. So yes.

Took Dynamithix's advice and watch the first episode. I really liked it although I was a bit bummed at Dino's(?) cremation, I was hoping he was going to be, at least, a recurring character on the show. And I already love Augustus Hill, just for the surreal narration and quirky remarks alone.

Has anyone ever watched Oz? I might start watching it but I want to know if it's any good before I sit through six seasons of it.

My flatmate swears by it, and he has excellent taste when it comes to tv.

I saw Cujo the other day on TV. It was okay, nothing too special, though. I didn't find the antagonist very threatening or even remotely scary, but it was an interesting concept.

I watched Death Dream last night, it's an excellent Canadian slasher/psychological horror from the 70's. About a soldier named Andi who is KIA, but brought back from the dead somehow (never really clear how, maybe it's the mother praying). Andy will retain eternal youth by killing and injecting the blood of others into his veins. It says a lot about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Heroin use by soldiers back in the day. Also one of the best films I've ever seen. Pick it up if you like horror and good movies.

Oz is okay. Merely okay.

Dynamithix 10-28-2011 08:24 AM

A hell of a lot better than whatever you're watching though.

OANST 10-28-2011 08:26 AM

Not really. No.

kapteeni13 10-28-2011 08:41 AM

Watched StarGåte

I watched Paranormal Activity today. It was okay, for a horror movie. Some pretty creepy parts, but overall not as scary as it was hyped up to be.

Going to watch the second one maybe later tonight, and possibly the third one eventually.

They are worse than the first one and in my opinion the first one itself was stupid enough.

It was actually a damn good movie with really good CGI for a low budget. It had a pretty good story, and really liked to show off some of the beautiful landscapes that Scandinavia has. I recommend it to anyone who has a Netflix account.

Don't watch the trailers though. They spoil a really good part of the movie.

Mr. Bungle 10-31-2011 04:13 PM

Almost done season 2 of Arrested Development. Also rediscovered how good The Simpsons was in its prime. Some of the best TV ever.

Dixanadu 10-31-2011 04:28 PM

Damn, I watched the trailer too.

I'm still going to watch it.

Sekto Springs 11-03-2011 09:57 AM

Been watching alot of Breaking Bad lately.

Mr. Bungle 11-03-2011 09:58 AM

Well done. It's probably my favourite live action TV show, ever. Well, other than maybe Arrested Development. Maybe.

How far into the series are you?

Sekto Springs 11-03-2011 09:59 AM

Far enough.

Mr. Bungle 11-03-2011 10:07 AM

Ain't no such thing as far enough when it comes to a show like Breaking Bad, I reckon.

Dynamithix 11-03-2011 10:26 AM

The new South Park episode. Was pretty good.

StrangerEastwood 11-03-2011 10:37 AM

I concur.*cue robe and bubble pipe*

Dynamithix 11-04-2011 09:50 AM

The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn.

It was brilliant. Loved the quality of the CGI (Haters gonna hate). Also, the story was pretty good, it was missing something, but it definitely wasn't bad. I loved the Dupond & Dupont scenes too. (Or Thomson & Thompson, whatever.)

Recommend it, definitely.

Crashpunk 11-04-2011 09:55 AM

Most Haunted.

It was Hilarious.

Dixanadu 11-04-2011 10:10 AM

Derek makes me laugh.

He's such a ballbag.

I just saw the Coen Brother's A Serious Man. I am convinced they can do no wrong. Just constant brilliance.

Mac Sirloin 11-08-2011 04:02 PM

Beavis and Butthead, two episodes so far of the new series. It's a fucking masterpiece all over again.

This isn't actually a clip form the new series, but it's close enough.
Huh huh. Uhuhuh.

OddjobAbe 11-08-2011 04:17 PM

I liked those King of the Hill episodes I saw so much, I got the DVD set. The first series is fantastic, but from there, certain traits in the characters that I thought were really funny began to get exaggerated a little more (to the point where they felt more and more like cartoon characters). It seems to me like the worst afflicted were Bobby and Dale (especially Dale - I have met people who behave a lot like the way he did in the first series, but because the ludicrousness of his conspiracy theories increase exponentially each time, he eventually comes across as an idiot instead of a nutjob).
The series seems to lose it a little for me during the third series.

StrangerEastwood 11-08-2011 04:38 PM

It is saved by it's smarts. Plus, I love Dale's expanded insanity, but I know people alot like that, so it's less nutty to me. lol

OddjobAbe 11-08-2011 04:45 PM

Whilst I didn't like the series succeeding the third as much as I did the first three, I definitely think that the programme even then runs circles around something like Family Guy. In fact, I found King of the Hill to be funnier than Simpsons, which is a program I have now totally lost all interest in. I think King of the Hill is a good example of using the cartoon medium to exaggerate phenomena observed in reality to an extent which does not equal clownomic proportions.

StrangerEastwood 11-08-2011 04:51 PM

family guy has become utter shite. And simpsons...I still love Groening, but Futurama is waaaaaaaaaay better. King of the Hill, Archer and South Park are the best animated comedies on TV. And Bob's Burgers too, if it comes back.

Ridg3 11-08-2011 04:53 PM

Don't forget American Dad. That show still tickles me.
