I wonder if there are people on a Steam forum posting "When is the Oddbox coming out?" Or if we are the only ones in the world that care...

There's also a Oddbox arical on IGN now.

I so hope that it is coming to the Mac platform as well :) Seeing as that Valve announced Steam for Mac OSX and a lot of game developers see opportunities with this. :)

I'm guessing that this is just Bad joke that someone posted on a stupid blog and the word spread out and It got to everyone's ears including reviewers like IGN but I'm telling u that this is a bad joke! If this was real why didn't steam posted anything about it in thier forums or why didn't the oddworld inhabitants site didn't post something sbout it?? cuz it's false or maybe we rly don't know....but I'm tellin' u this is goin' to turn out to be a bad joke

The oddworld.com website still doesn't have anything about AO and AE on Steam. And the first Steam announcment was when they became available. The only advance warning we had was in my interview with Lorne, which was about six months prior.

So this silence is not all that unusual.

This can't be a joke...and if it is, I officially hate Lorne for his baaaad jokes.

Valve is a big company. They'll release news of its release when it's released. Also, has it not occurred to you that the OWI site hasn't been updated for years? It barely even works anymore.

Did they change there minds or did steam or someone just re do it?

Sometimes I wonder if Lorne actually makes a living by making dark jokes. Abe himself is a joke because he's so dumb, and he does everything by dumb luck...everyone thinks it's so funny to grind Mudokons into little pieces, and blow Sligs into tiny chicken legs...the heroes of all four games are insane killers who blow people away all the time and feel good about it...Fangus Klot was canceled when everyone thought it was coming out...the Oddbox takes forever without any news...is Lorne insane???

Which of our brainy Brit members is most likely to have made this change? Well, at first I thought Max the Mug, but if we view 500 edits a page and search for "Max the Mug", we find 5 results. So unless he wasn't logged in for this edit, it wasn't him.

It's really impossible to say who it was who made the final edit, but we know that abe69 made the first copy, and I'd bet every pair of pants I own that the mysterious 86.170.22.45 is an OWF member, too. Wikipedia doesn't edit itself, you know.

I frequently don't log in to edit Wikipedia, but I could not tell you if any particular edit was mine or not. I simply don't have the memory.

I don't think you udnerstand. Lorne Lanning himself, you know, one of the FOUNDERS OF ODDWORLD INHABITANTS said that the oddbox is coming early 2010. News can't get any more official than that. This doesn't appear on steam because they haven't set an exact date yet. News doesnt appear on oddworld.com because the website isn't in use anymore. the new website is www.oddmobb.com and it's currently under construction.

I think that was a bad attempt at a joke by TCE.

Listen people, You need to learn to wait. porting a game takes time, Think about it.
They have to change a lot. Controls, ingame button refrences and even up the graphics a bit.

so instead of spamming, joking and question it's exitistants. Just wait for it.

I don't think this has been mention and it might be a far stretch, but...

Recently it has been announced that Valve's Steam is coming to Mac Os X.
They are porting a bunch of their games to run natively on the Mac.

Maybe (read: unlikely) Lorne has decided to also make the oddbox available for the Mac. The Os X version of steam will be released next month, so maybe we'll know more then.

Once again this is just a possibility and probably not the reason for the delay.

Why would they do that...time and resources wasted on machines that are used to make posters, Valve fucked up....this is all considering, if it's true.

You freaking suck and don't know what you're talking about. the Mac's user base has been growing ever since Apple started selling Mac computers in stores other than Apple Resellers. Also, I work with Mac, do I design posters?? NO! I'm a game designer, so shut up with your Windows is everything attitude.
