Oh, sorry then.

Not a problem, we appreciate the effort!
Sligstorm confirmed.
I think the response thing has given us as much as we can get now.
Skillya comes up with *** FNIR ZR ***
STM, you silly fuck, you failed again. It's a generic message.
Generic response. "Save me"
E: Varrok you piece of shit, I wanted to be the one to call him out. |
You guys are mean I'm uninviting you to my birthday party.
Your parties are lame anyway!
Nuh uh, my last one had a bouncy castle so nyeeeh.
I typed bouncy castle in and it came back with *** FNIR ZR *** |

Don't know if this will be of any help, but i found this photo while searching through the official website of oddworld-soulstorm. The details say the name of this photo is "attemptnumberseventyfive.jpg"http://www.oddworld.com/soulstorm/at...eventyfive.jpg

I can't believe I'm only thinking of this now, but the 'person' trying to contact us could be and very likely are the three weirdos. The disturbed spirits of ancient Mudokons trying desperately to reach for help to stop the Glukkons.
Try placing these responses in the context of a spirit trapped in a tomb, like the three weirdos. *** I WISH I COULD BUT I CAN’T GET OUT *** *** IT’S BEEN SO LONG, I CAN’T REMEMBER *** *** PLEASE FIND ME ** THE SPIRIT OF 1029 LIVES ON. DON'T LEAVE ME TRAPPED AGAIN And that one response about it being loud down there? Think mining drills in Necrum. Holy shit. |
I did suggest that a couple of pages back.
My question is, who's the one talking in brackets? It seems like it might be a robot, based on a few of the short answers and the [ERROR] message.
Welcome to the hunt jj11206. :)
We already found out about this picture, it's documented here: http://oddworld.wikia.com/wiki/Soulstorm_ARG |

This thread moves too quickly. I'm surprised the forum hasn't collapsed under all this strain. |
And just in case anyone is still having trouble, here’s attemptnumberseventyfive.jpg squashed with the solver Varrok linked above:
![]() It’s only visible at a very specific width, but it’s definitely there. At the moment, solving lsot.mp3 is the most important thing here, that’s probably going to open up the next part of the puzzle. |
The width wouldn't happen to be 0451 would it? :D
Also, Havoc, we may have to start changing a few of the responses on the list because the actual responses keep changing. Like earlier, when I said "goodbye" it responded with "*** YES, NO DOUBT, BUT FOR HOW LONG? ***". On the list, it said it originally responded with "GOODBYE". It may be someone else from the weirdos who's trying to contact us.
Did anyone try putting the morse code result into the text box?
I did. No luck. But we might've read them wrong.

The ghosts theory makes sense to me, especially when you consider how spirits are supposed to be able to tamper with/affect electronic equipment. And I guess a blind Mud would have trouble being able to read the words we type in, when you think about it.

...Well dang. Nvm then.
