Well how about instead of waiting you get on with something else in your life? We've missed the deadline for whoever it was to send a prize to the winner, so there's no rush. I've been in OddChat all the time I've been online for the past day or two, and I do have some questions formulating in my mind. Also, I'm concerned this thread is turning into some kind of spamathon - probably boring as hell to read through.

My poor thread.....corupted by wretched spam! :crying: Hopefully.....once we get through this game, the next one will be more organized and less spam-o-thon-ish.

I think that the host(s) should have the Questions prepared already so nobody has to wait forever and so there's no time for spam! I like it!

Okay competors, competitioners and compfolk, the scores have been determined to be as follows...

The Industrials: 12.5
The Natives: 10.5

The next question is where the points can really start to flow, and where we test your observational and memory skills, and where, the winner of this round will hopefully (and with a bit of luck) be decided. It is this:

How many Oddworld creatures have been depicted in art, architecture, fashion and sculptures, and in what way are they depicted?

This, of course, is an in-universe question, so no prizes for saying: "That little Fuzzle in Alf's Odds and Ends." :p The same creature can be used more than one, obviously. This requires another list-type answer, with one point being awarded to each correct entry in your list.

More information on further details shall emerge soon. I'm waiting for Xavier to remember he's in OddChat. :p

EDIT: To Grig: I think the competitors should have the answer within two weeks of the question being posted, personally.

I thought that the time limit was shorter than that...like a week long. A week should be the limit, otherwise it will take sooooooo long!

Noooo, that's not what I said, I was complaining that you took so long to give in the last answers, especially now that you say you thought the time limit was one week. As it is, I've spoken to Xavier, and the time limit is one week, meaning answers are to be PMed to either Xavier or me by Monday 18th August.

Ummmm.......the oddworld creature......do they have to be in every catergory to qualify as a correct answer or not? I'm not asking this because I'm waiting to talk about it with my team. We're allready working on it.

No, not at all, they only need to be in one of those catagories, or similar catagories.

EDIT: Just a reminder that the deadline for answers to be given in is Tuesday, and where I am, that's tomorrow. We'll give you the whole day, though. Results, with any luck, on Wednesday.

Industrials are going to be sending their answers as soon as humanly possible! I actually just sent Max our first answers when we thought that the Oddworld creatures had to be in every category to qualify as a correct answer.

Anyway, I think there should be a penalty of points being taken away if you miss the deadline.

Yeah, it's the Natives who once again are late sending their answers. I haven't seen Grig since he got told off for excessive posting, and the other contestants... WAKE UP!! :fuzwink:

But yeah, I think I'd better start deducting a point from the Natives' score for each day they fail to hand in their answers. By my clock they've got just under two hours left until the first point is taken away...

give grig a break! occasionally in japan people work themselves to death! i beleive its called karoshi, i dont want my team members getting karoshi, the trick is to take a break every time you see a bright light and hear dead reletives beckon:D

Oh... So presumably that wasn't his first warning then. No wait, rules say no gossiping. I wasn't trying to be harsh on him, though, just... observant.

I talked to Grig and he got banned for two weeks only on a first warning. Grig is a very big part of the Natives team, and that may be why they haven't answerd yet........but then again, Natives usually take long anyway.

actually Alcar allready allready gave him warnings by PM, not all warnings are public

yes, on oddchat alcar was saying he was starting to ban ppl on a first warning for spamming too much, thats why he posted that stupid announcement, i think this is going too far.

Anyway, in light of Grig's circumstances, I've decided not to deduct a point for today, since he hasn't been able to post. He's been able to read, though, so I should hope he's been compiling his answers.

Sligslinger, in no form whatsoever did I say I was banning people on their first warning. You've obviously overlooked all the important parts of the conversation we had. I said that he had been given ample warnings, and those warnings entitled his banning. Why don't you get the facts straight before you accuse people.
