I watched the whole of "The lion king 2" on youtube.

Amazing, the blasts from the past you get when you're sixteen.

Do you have any idea how hard "he lives in you" is to get out of you're head?

I watched the lion king two under the impression it was the first. I was dissapointed when I learned Scar was absent (I hadn't seen the ending for the first at the time.)

Do any of you ever get this strange rush whenever you see something you watched religiously as a kid? Like, I came across the pink elephants parade scene from Dumbo on Youtube not too long ago, and this huge rush of vivid feeling from when I was little just came over me

Fuck yes. I loved that when I was little. My favorite bit was with the train, though. "Casey Junior's coming 'round the track, I've forgot the rest, I've forgot the rest!"
I always feel sad watching something I used to watch as a little lad. I miss being able to watch Sooty and Sweep, without feeling stupid. Trouble is, the closest I have to that are the Matthew videos, which, whilst excellent, are not what I remember.
I also miss Bambi, mainly because of the "get the fuck up" scene and the "Drip Drip Drop, Little April Shower" scene.

I had to watch Lion King with my nephew a few years ago. Call me what you like, but I didn't care for it that much. I've seen worse, but it didn't feel like the Disneys I remember. I don't at all care for Disney films anymore. When people hear that name, most think of different things to me.

I watched The Lion King the other day after years of not owning the VHS anymore.

I had never realized what an asshole Zazu was.

Nostalgia is awesome. The coolest thing that's stuck in my head is that one part of the 'Be Prepared' song near the end, where the hyenas are playing the bones. It's such a cool little ditty. I used to rewind the tape over and over to hear it.

Then the usual age-related irrisponsibility caused the tape to get crushed.

Nostalgia is different from what I'm talking about. Nostalgia is longing for the past, not the vivid, ecstatic feeling evoked from the past.
