I’m sorry for your realizing you have a disability. Maybe you can take comfort in the fact that you are one in only a few, and there are worse forms of colour vision deficiency you could have.

If it doesn’t, it should. Colour blind people can face very real obstacles in life, mostly relating to being unable to read certain things.

Pink and purple are very similar colours. It may not be limited to pink and purple, but it appears to be a fairly minor thing. Don't worry about it too much.
