...on my new laptop. First film I've watched using it. (Actually, the credits are playing right now - the credits song is rubbish). Laptop performed well; I'm quite pleased with it
I actually think I enjoyed the film more on the small screen than in 3D at the cinema; there, the visuals just distracted too much. It's a very pretty film, but I think the visuals were just overpowering on the big screen, let alone in 3D. The story actually performed better when you're not oohing and ahhing all the way through, so while it seemed a rather poor story when I watched it in cinema, it felt like a good story this time.
My only real complaint is that they've deliberately avoided selling any version of the film with Special Features. So all the people who love the film (which, let's face it, is no small number of people) are going to rush out and buy it now, then when they release the two-disk special edition in four or six months, they're all gonna want to rush out and buy it again. Clearly a money grabbing scheme. It's already made more money in cinemas than any other film ever, and yet they still have to rip people off on DVDs.
Ooh, credits just ended. Man, THX have gone totally overboard there!
But yeah; good film.
