Unpredictable actor David Hasselhoff says his talking 'Knight Rider' car had gender preferences, and was "gay."
In the UK promoting his autobiography, a movie and a new single, der Hasselhoff shocked students when he came out with the comment about Kitt-the persona of his allegedly gay vehicle- during an appearance at Trinity College in Dublin.
He said: "We have some fairly X-rated outtakes on 'Knight Rider'.
"Kitt was constantly asking, 'Do you want me to take you home Michael?' in that very camp voice of his."
Meanwhile, Hasselhoff fell asleep while appearing on a TV show in the UK.
The former 'Baywatch' star dropped off during a commercial break while filming an appearance on GMTV on Sunday (01.10.06).
Explaining his narcolepsy, he said: "I was really tired. I'd been in Vancouver then Leeds, then Manchester then Croydon."
Producers have denied claims the 54-year-old actor passed out because he was drunk.
Despite his cockamamie stories, they said: "We do not believe he was drunk. There was no smell of alcohol."
Obviously it was the first part of that article I found most amusing. I always thought he was a little prissy.
Every time I watch a Knight Rider episode there's invariably something subtle that comes across in the storyline or in the dialogue that makes me do a mental double-take.
Now, all the pieces fit.
