Annoyed with OWF core - Don't scare away potential members

Posted 10-28-2009 at 04:57 PM by AlexFili
Wow, so the OWF community has scared away one of my RPG members, Seikyo Jack. I can't believe that the OWF community have become so moronic that they can't even tell the decent new members from the newbs.

Tip: If they join an RPG and they don't sound like a noob... THEY PROBABLY AREN'T!

Apologies. Don't take this the wrong way, "I love you guys like you was my own right?!" -Aslik Quote.

But seriously, you can't treat newbies like dirt. Think about your...

Weird Virus: "Cannot open EXE"

Posted 10-27-2009 at 07:42 AM by AlexFili
Okay so I randomly found a computer virus (I still have no idea how I got it). I turn on my PC, click on the MSN Messenger shortcut...

"What program would you like to open msnmsgr.exe?"

My face at this point is like What?!

Took me a few minutes to find the solution to the problem, but those were the most trippy minutes of my life...

Anyone else had similar problems?

True Blood

Posted 10-26-2009 at 01:56 PM by AlexFili
I personally really enjoyed it from a non-vampire fan's perspective.

With the only vampire experience I have being Blade and Twilight, I was pleasantly surprised to see a society where Humans and Vampires live together.

I think the main characters are very good and the cliffhangers at the end of each episode are well developed.

There are a lot more sexual scenes than I might have guessed, but overall it is a really good piece of work. I also love the...

Here are some lovely photos for you to feast your eyes on. Enjoy!

The weather was nice, the food was good and I bought a nice red hat out of it

Feel free to ask any questions about these pictures and I'll be happy to answer them.

Abe A GoGo - Any Requests?

Posted 09-28-2009 at 01:11 AM by AlexFili
I bought Abe A GoGo via a Japanese website and it's arrived now.

I'm going to record some of the SligSpeak (because they have really high-pitched voices in the Japanese version).

If you have any requests, just ask. I can record the Abe GameSpeak as well if you like!

Breaking the Habit: Abe's Oddysee 100%!

Finally rescued all the Mudokons. It was easier than I thought actually. Even the slog huts are managable. AO is very linear as well. At least AE gave you some choices!

I finished AE not that long ago with 100% too.
Can't really be bothered getting 100% on MO and SW though, it's not worth the hassle.

EDIT: Okay, removed the count.

My Twelth Blog: Scribblenauts rules!

Posted 09-13-2009 at 10:34 AM by AlexFili
I've been playing the game for a while now, it's just so awesome!

My first custom level was a T-rex with a top hat and a saddle. I used the mind-control device to let me ride him and kill the zombies

A great surprise is to summon two Maxwell clones and a fake Starite. They will steal the Starite from each other going "yoink!" each time!

The puzzle levels are an interesting set-up of scenarios, most of which are pretty clever. The action sequences are...

My Eleventh Blog: District 9

Posted 09-04-2009 at 12:22 PM by AlexFili
A few weeks ago, someone gave me the advice to watch a film called District 9. I hadn't even heard of it until I read some material over the internet. I watched the trailer while I went to see Inglorious. I was really impressed with the visual detail and the metaphors so I went to see it.

Wow, District 9 is really quite a film apart from anything else. I particularly enjoyed the human/alien interaction and the first half of the film.

I compare it a bit to Clockwork...

My Tenth Blog: Inglorious (may contain spoilers)

Posted 08-27-2009 at 10:16 AM by AlexFili
So I came back from watching Inglorious Basterds at the cinema, it was pretty good. The action and ending is truly worthy of being called a Tarantino film.

My main criticism was the slow pacing for the start of the film. Except from that, it was exceptional is quite a few ways. For a period piece, it was filmed well and the costumes and cast were chosen wisely.

Brad Pitt is superb as the over-the-top american general. You'll get to see some interesting role reversals...

My Ninth Blog: Black Eyed Peas

What do you think about their new album?
I've been listening and my favorite songs are;
Boom Boom Pow
Rock That Body
Alive
I Got a Feeling

What do you think of the band in general? What was the first song you heard and what do you think of them live?

I'm not very impressed with the casual swearing present during their live performances. I don't see why people have to swear just to be 'popular'.

I like Eminem, but he...
