150 Pounds

Posted 08-27-2014 at 04:10 AM by Job McYossie
No, not that you brits.

So the other day I was wondering what I weighed, because it'd been a long time since I checked. Last I checked I was 170, I figured I would be 180+ since all I do is play World of Tanks and whine on OWF. But nope, only 150. Last time I was this much I was like a foot shorter. I am 5'9'' now for reference.

Now this isn't fair, but it isn't fair in my favor, I do nothing active, I guess I do eat very little but still, next to no activity.

Losing weight from not eating much is bad. Sitting on your arse all day could be part of the reason you're not eating, and I'd seriously do something about that.

A good way to start is to have a more regular sleep pattern, and make yourself get up in the morning (doesn't have to be super early, 9-10am is fine) to go for a walk. I can't stress enough how different it makes you feel about what you can achieve in a day, especially while it's warm over there. Walking in the morning also helps you sleep better at night

Mind you I can't really talk, because I've had a similar lifestyle over the last few years and sit around 130lbs for a similar height. The feeling from having to change things up with my fatigue is pretty good, though.

To be fair 150 lbs is pretty normal for someone of your height. I wouldn't worry about it.

Oh I'm not worried, was just commenting on how it's unfair that I do nothing and lose weight while others diet and exercise and can hardly lose a pound.

I hear that. I used to be able to go out and binge at an all you can eat buffet then the next day I'd be back hovering at 154 again, flat stomach just a skinny as I ever was. That's not so much the case any more but I'm still pretty skinny for all the crap I eat haha.

You probably have a high metabolism like me, I work a long 14 hour shift and lost about 6lbs, then on my day off i gain it back again. It's incredibly difficult for me to maintain weight too, i find it hard to have a big appetite so i usually eat little amounts, but very often. Eating crap won't gain you weight because it's probably processed, sugary fatty foods which make your metabolism work for a shorter amount of time as it's a quick energy burn. You'll find that eating Pasta, Rice, Peanut Butter and Brown Bread for a week will gain you more weight than eating fast foods and chocolaty/sweet snacks for a week. I went from 152lbs to 160 from a fortnight of routinely eating pasta dishes, rice dishes, bit of fish and LOTS of peanuts :P I'm happy the way i am being skinny, but deep deep down most guys want to feel as big as (or bigger than) their peers.. I'm getting a nutritionist and a personal trainer when i start University in a few weeks.. I'm happy to pass any information on if anyone wants to bulk up etc.. It's going to take me a long time to even reach the next Stone in weight, but it will be worth it

You heard it here first, folks. Eating fast food and chocolate will make you skinny.
