If my friends are doing anything on NYE I know nothing of it, so I'm going up to my aunt and uncle's with my parents for the night. They're going to get drunk and have a great time. I don't know what I'm going to do.

I was suggesting everyone speak Polish forever.

Have you considered calling them up and asking what they're doing?

I've considered it. I would like to think I could organise something if I really wanted, but it would probably just make me feel worse about myself and be a slight inconvenience to everyone else.

Either that or it would end in a heap of awkward conversations involving people dancing around telling me they don't want me around.

Is that actually likely to happen, or are you just neurotically paranoid?

I'd invite you to Melbourne to watch the fireworks with my friends, but that would be awkward. You know, what with the 14 year age gap and all.

I've been attempting to see a film with a friend for the best part of a week. For some reason the concept of "Sunday does/does not work for me" is very confusing to them.

It looks like my parents might try and ditch me, too. originally my cousin was going to be up at my aunt and uncles, but now he isn't. My other similarly aged cousin now has other plans, too.

If nothing else I'll get to cook dinner while my mum's out, which always manages to freak her out a bit.
