Doing An Internets: Don't Call Me Tiger

Posted 10-22-2012 at 09:03 AM by JayDee

Here's my cat. Am I doing an internets yet?

Life's moderately good at the moment despite losing my girlfriend yesterday.. But on the bright side I had my first paid gig yesterday aswell. £100 (£200 halved between me and my vocalist) for an acoustic set at the local pub from 5 till 7. Easiest money I've ever made. And now I get to spend it all on me. Which is good cause I need a new skateboard, £100 should easily cover it.

Just wondering. Are there any skateboarders on here? I like talking to a fellow "wood-pusher."

We wouldn't call you a tiger. I believe we already have one

I only wish I could skate. I can barely even walk without tripping all over the god damn place.

I used to skate a little, still have my board but I'm really rusty, no good now.

You know you just reminded me to start calling you Tiger as well. I totally forgot.

You got Havoc all excited!

Also, you'd pay £100 for a skateboard? They're like £7 where I come from.

I always custom build my skateboards using parts that I know are of a good quality/price, so a decent deck (the wood you stand on) can cost £40+, the most I pay is £30. Trucks (the metal bits the wheels and deck are attatched to) can cost again £40+. Then with that you've got: Hardware, Griptape, Wheels, Bearings, Risers and Shocks. Luckily my skateboard tends to last me a year, so the the need to pay this much is few and far between.

Basically you get what you pay for, and a £7 Sports Direct skateboard would last me all of one week.

I can skate. Not much ice around these days, though.

I've always liked skateboarding but I'm terrible at it. Think I'll stick to the video games, because I am lazy and easily frustrated by such things.
