Classic Drunk Joe

I love applying to jobs I'm horrendously under-qualified for. It's time so very well spent.

Clearly Joe has some heavily surpressed aspirations of being a surgical assistant.

Maybe surgery is one of those things where it's easier when you're slightly drunk, because you overcompensate by being attentive.

On an unrelated note, I have this bucket of blood to give away.

Surgical assistants just prepare the instruments and take no actual part in surgery, you know?

Also I applied for at least two more jobs while drunk and I haven't the faintest idea what they were.

Similarly, I called the number on a Medical Experiments advertisement I saw on a subway. They are really friendly people.

I was surprised to find out I am not eligible because of my ADD.

My family was pressuring me into applying for a science technician post at a school. A Catholic school. "You need not be Catholic but you are expected to share Catholic values," the ad said.

"Er... you have no idea how much this is not for me."

"You can lie."

No.

But if you took the job, you could save hundreds of children from the sort of mindless indoctrination I was submitted to at primary! Think of the Nobel Prize winning work you'd do!

I'd be out of there faster than you can say "Begone, demon!" Or perhaps exactly as fast as you can say it.

But you do have Catholic values! It's not your fault that the Catholic church doesn't have Catholic values any more.

Don't insult me. My worst is better than the church's best.

I agree entirely. But that's the fault of the church as an institution, not Christian values per se.

And if I may pre-empt your next response, I wasn't actually being serious. I just felt like sniping at organised religion.

You should watch 'Does the Catholic Church cause more harm than Good'. You get to see both sides, even if the Church gets absolutely pounded.
