A taste of things to come.

Started working on the MO rip 2 days ago. There's alot of work to be done and editing takes quite a while. I've managed to finish the first mix of what seems to be many, though I'm not sure what more the game has in store for me music-wise.
Since I was unable to open the .dls files, and they're sequenced - I'm forced to do a line-in recording of all the samples I can acquire - and then mix them myself. Furthermore, the music is dynamic, so I'll have to record everything every time the music changes, which happens quite often. Anyway, here's a sample of what it might sound like, though I'll probably end up changing something if I don't like it. This is the 3rd level, called Fuzzle Testing. Unfortunately, it seems to be in mono - some music is, whilst some is in stereo. I can't figure out why, but I know everything's set up correctly, because I'm getting stereo feeds on other tracks. Guess that's just the way it is. Nevertheless, it sounds pretty good; http://www.sendspace.com/file/ghqzal It starts off slow, but let it work it's way up to tempo. Let me know what you think, I will appreciate any kind of feedback, so long as it's honest, to the point and constructive. This is just one of several OW soundtracks I'm working on right now. I'll be upgrading the old rips too, but this'll take quite a while, though I'm very excited about this, because I've always enjoyed ripping Oddworld games. There's a special feel to it all. =) |
