Sushi...

Posted 08-12-2011 at 08:55 AM by Dynamithix
I tried some Sushi today for the third time in my life, I tasted it for the first time in 2006, didn't like it, tasted it for the second time in 2009, this time I used soy sauce, I liked it.

But now when I tried it with soy sauce, I vomited. Am I doing something wrong? How am I supposed to eat it... I feel sick now.

I fucking love sushi, but it's an acquired taste, I hope your not one of those people that hate anything not pizza or chips.

Technically, sushi is the rice.

I had octopus at one of those places once. That was weird.

I don't eat squid or octupus, they're too intelligent in my opinion, to be eaten.

No no no, I like to taste different kinds of food, but sushi is a bit too bizarre for me.

I ate some kind of sushi that had salmon, seaweed, rice and a bit of wasabi in it. I vomited it after eating a half of it.

Some sushi restaurants have notoriously bad health standards. Basically leaving meat out in summer, however your in Finland so that may not be a problem, but I got food poisoning from sushi before.

My Dad wants to take me to a sushi restaurant in London somewhere, we drove past it once and it looked pretty nice, it had the conveyor belts of dishes and you get chop sticks. I think I'll go before I go back to college.

Sushi trains are surprislingly effective at making people buy more than they're originally willing to spend.

Yeh, I suppose so, I never been to one of the sushi train places before so how does it work? Do you have to eat the dish really quickly or only eat a little bit? Then doesn't that mean that the person next to you down the line has to eat from a plate you've already sampled?

You take the dish off the train and eat it at your own pace.

Haha, you don't sample the food; that would be much akin to eating half an easter bunny at the super market. Instead you take the plate of the conveyor belt to eat the food and at the end the waiter counts or the plates you've taken off and charges you appropriately. Such a method usually involves a lot of impulse buying (people can't seem to wait for the food to come back around).
