I rarely ever answer the phone. I don't have caller ID on my cell, so I don't wanna risk answering for someone I really don't wanna talk to. Even on my home phone, which does have caller ID, I don't answer it if I don't recognize the number.

I always answer our phone, and it doesn't have caller ID. In fact, leaving the phone ringing just feels... wrong to me. I don't think I could do it.

I went through a period of never answering my phone. Now I always yesterday, but yesterday I had some woman on the phone telling me I could claima refund on my payment protection insurance.

I don't answer the phone because I don't like being hassled, but no one likes to leave messages on the answer phone any more. I have a friend who phones me every 30 seconds until I pick up, literally. Yesterday I counted sixty times over a period of about two hours. I'm going to start unplugging the phone because talking to him is more effort than ignoring him.

What's the use of having a phone if you never answer it. My GF is the same, doesn't pick up numbers she doesn't know or that are hidden. Seriously, it's a phone. You can hang up if it turns out to be an axe murderer...

I reluctantly answer the phone, unless I'm too reluctant to bother. I hate talking on the phone anyway, and more than half the time it's some call centre, spambot, cold call, "special prize" or offer, or any combination of absolute shit I haven't the energy to pay attention to.

I never answer my phone if the caller isn't on my contact list. Mainly, that's because in the past four months I have become incredibly in debt, and have little desire to speak with debt collectors.

In the middle of my phase of never answering. My phone once started ringing when I was in the middle of having sex, I was told to "just ignore it". I said "I can't, I think it's best that I answer it"

Turns out I was being phoned due to a very serious family matter. Strange how I thought that I should answer it and it turned out to be something important.
