A sign that you should have chosen Judaism over Christianity.

Why can't you tell the doctor? Anything you tell them is confidential.

I've seen this at work in the past. I know it's embarrassing, but talk to your doctor. You'll probably be given a circumcision, but insurance should absolutely cover it. Of course I'm thinking in terms of American insurance policies and have no idea how things work in your neck of the woods. Anyway, it's a rough ticket, and no one wants to have anything go 'wrong' with their genitals, but it's a fairly quick, relatively painless fix, so you should be fine.

A brief google search also shows that there are numerous 'stretching' exercises you can do at home to help with the problem.

Talk to your doctor, I'm sure he/she can help.

If this would be the case with me, I'd probably also tell my parents, don't let the embarrassment get on the way, being healthy is more important.

If that makes any sense...

I would agree with the other posts so far. Go talk to your Doctor about it. I know it might be emabrressing for you, but this won't be the first time the doctor has seen this (nor will this be the last) and the sooner you get it sorted, the better.

You're contemplating suicide over something that can be easily fixed? And how on Earth did you get the notion that Phimosis makes you any less of a "man"?

See a doctor. Get circumcised if need be.

Also, calm the fuck down.

Being circumcised really isn't that bad. I wouldn't know the difference because I was circumcised from birth, but it's really nothing you should want to kill yourself over. It'll be a big change for you but you can get through it. I'm sorry to hear, but you have to pull through it dude.

Yeah I just looked it up on wikipedia aswell. I had no idea what it was until then. I was thinking it was some life threatening disease. Now that I know what it is I think you need to chill. I know someone that had Phimosis and they simply had their penis circumcised. Now life is pretty much normal for him now. It might be embarassing to see the doctor but to them it's just another day in the office.

Until you've had a testicular ultrasound, none of you can complain of awkwardness.

Circumcision is out of the question, just because that's not something I ever want
I'd let a medical professional be the judge of that.

So you'd rather painful sex?

I had phimosis.

All you need to do is periodically 'stretch' the foreskin by stimulating masturbation.

After six months it went away. But I'm in no position to judge whether mine was more severe than yours.

Also, it didn't affect my ability to have sex. My foreskin didn't retract but it wasn't uncomfortable in the slightest.

Once it was 'cured', so to speak, masturbation and sex was better.

Don't let some doctor cut at your dick, just periodically stretch it. Trust me, it works.

And don't be upset about it!

EDIT: If you don't mind me asking, didn't girls think it was a bit weird if you had sex with phimosis?

@Alcar - It's not painful, never has been.

No, because I was self-conscious about it and never showed them. Once it looked alright and 'worked', so to speak, I felt a lot more confident. It pretty much stonewalled me my entire teenage life from speaking to girls.

If you don't feel pain, then that's how mines was. Remember, ye ol' stretcheroo every day for about an hour around 5-7 months, it should be back to normal.

Once you can get it all the way, you wash that bad boy pronto.

I still advocate talking to a medical professional about it, they can't force you to do anything you don't want to do

But now that an easier alternative has been suggested you're obviously going to follow that, so whatever

I agree with still seeing a doctor, and getting some proper medical advice about it all. Even if it's just about which stretches are the best for you.

Seeing a doctor won't hurt you, you might find it helps you more. They won't cut you without your permission, you can still say no to circumcision. I'd suggest going to a doctor to be on the safe side.

Been there. She was really nice. And the specialist had really gentle hands, too.

Ontopic: Eh, I'm not going to say anything that hasn't been said before. Move along.

So the hysterics were for naught? I could imagine getting worked up if it hurt - but if you've known nothing different, why the outburst?

I got a dude Unfortunately, my balls were already in agony, so even the slightest touch was painful.

Thing is it's to embarrasing and I know that you are all thinking a doctor is trained to see this but firstly I don't want to and secondly I can't just get up and make an appointment anyway my parents would worry and I'm sure as the sky is blue not going to tell them.

@ Nate - Because I didn't realise I had an actual medical condition, I just thought over time it would get better. Any way if we could all change the topic, spam or just leave it alone whatever, I sorta want this to be quickly forgotten now lol.

Your parents wouldn't give a shit. Making sure you're fit and healthy is one of their responsibilities.

A friend of mine recently had to have her two-year old son circumcised as he had Phimosis. It was handled very matter-of-factly, and I imagine your parents would be the same. Do you honestly think they'd laugh at you?

I suppose it's a tad mind-boggling. Whenever I've had anything even slightly unusual happen with any part of my sexual anatomy, I've chased doctors down. That shit is vital to my continued happiness.

I also thought mine was something that would get better. It was when I stumbled across the wikipedia article I was pretty damn scared since it put emphasis on 'pain' and 'discomfort'.

You could actually do nothing about it, like I said, it doesn't hinder sexual performance. Just makes it less pleasurable but not painful.

I only did the stretching exercises to make myself feel better.

See a doctor if you want, people who have had this done said it's better to stretch than be circumcised.

No one wants a cut willy.

Dixanadu is irresponsibly saying his case is applicable to your case and you shouldn't see a medical professional. Even if he doesn't mean it, that's what he's saying. Take what he says as comfort but not necessarily advice.

Seriously see a doctor.
