My Experience With Drugs
I had the craziest trip (for me) the other day. I think, because I thought it was pretty funny.
Before describing my trip, I should mention that this is only my third experience with weed, so it probably doesn't compare to some peoples.
So, I was with two of my friends, we were just smoking it in my backyard (I wasn't really feeling anything a few minutes after, and was convinced that it wasn't working; you can tell it was). When we went back inside, i was like "Oh my god guys, I can't stop smiling, no matter how hard I try, it won't go down! This is just like last time!"
Shortly after this, I was feeling normal again, just really hyper. My friends decided to go upstairs to play with my little brother's Nerf guns. I didn't really want to, because I would rather go and listen to Pink Floyd, but I followed them anyways.
After what seemed like an eternity, I arrived in my brothers room, to see them trying to find the bullets. Most of this is a blur, but I remember them constantly asking me for the bullets. I told them I'd find them, then kept walking in and out and in and out of the room, falling down, and trying to figure out what was going on. I didn't understand it; it was like i was in a dream.
Then, I figured it out:I was high.
"I'm high!", I exclaimed. From this point on, everything seemed "in its right place". So, I found the Nerf guns and we proceeded to go into the basement.
This is where it got freaky, for me.
My basement is set up with a TV, a mattress right in front of it and a couch adjacent to the TV. I was sitting in the corner, between my TV and furnace, while one friend was in front of me, the other lying on said mattress. They were both holding the guns, and I was convinced they were going to shoot me. They were constantly loading and loading, however they never seemed to want to shoot. Just loading and pointing.
Then, friend #1 started doing an "Old WWII Veteran" voice. He was acting like he was in Vietnam, and convincing me that we were in Vietnam. He kept on insisting that I was a Vietcong soldier, and I was seriously freaked out during this.
(by the way, I had Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother playing in the background, it was pretty awesome at the time)
A few minutes of freaking out and insisting that my two friends were sober passed, and they had to go back to school (i have 4th period spare). They left, and I was by myself. At this point, I decided I wanted to listen to some music. I sat on the couch, put Neutral Milk Hotel's In The Aeroplane Over The Sea in, and it sounded very awesome. There were all these sounds I had never heard before, and the music seemed more... alive. It was really odd. I also really understood the lyrics a lot more, they just made so much sense. Really blew my mind.
While listening to the aforementioned band, I was staring at my cat. He was making the funniest faces I've ever seen, yet I can't come up with the words to describe them.
After this, I put on Radiohead's Kid A. I did not enjoy this one at all. The drums were way too loud, Thom Yorke's vocals were annoying as hell, and the songs just seemed like they took forever to finish. By the time I got to track #3, I said fuck it and decided to go take a shower.
Things were pretty normal after that.
