You did nothing helpful with the legal. You read something and stated a given.

You know nothing about programming, so it's stupid that you're looking for the programmer. Also, while there is no programmer, posting the website here is a mistake.

I remember ages ago he was working on the story for some other game, but an AO remake doesn't really require much in the way of story.

Except Enchilado actually, you are right, I suggested that Nowtun used the old Oddworld Fan Gaming name and he agreed. And to be fair Phylum...I actually didn't want my name on jack shit, I don't want my name in the credits and I only give credit to myself on the actual website for creating it. Jesus you guys are bunch of freaking vultures.

Meh.. I was just curious. But since you keep a rude tone, I wont keep mine that nice anymore.

My honest opinion is that you hover over absolutely everything, reaking in credit and act as if you do a whole lot, while in fact, you let everyone work for you while barely mentioning them.
Yes they work for you, because that's what you make it seem like.

For all I know, only you and Nowtun are working on this project, because you don't mention anything at all except yourself. You're not humble at all.

You could say that you're working as a the team-leader, which in itself is a pretty important job, but I still think you should let everyone else have their piece of the glory too.

I'm not even trying to mock, but really I'm just giving my impression of all this. I didn't attack you personally, so take this as critique, or just leave it alone. If it iffends you, it just proves that there's something inside you that sees eye-to-eye with what I'm saying. Otherwise you would just dismiss my post as meaningless and stupid. But you didn't.

So, I'm asking you to try and not defend yourself,l but listen to what people are saying and maybe try to detect why they are saying these things. Do some self-inspection. It's healthy from time to time.

Oh and when I mean credit... I don't talk about written names. I mean when you write about stuff. You always seem soo.... glorious. It's annoying, cos I wanna know about the actual people who worked on it too.

If Nowtun really did all that alone, then I must say, I'm extremely impressed.

Now do please tell me...how the fuck am I not humble, where do I credit myself as project master or make myself seem, glorious was it? If you can post an example I would be more than happy to take it on board but I can't understand why people are fighting me on this, I just tried to do Nowtun a favour by bringing his fantastic game out so that more people can see his work. I can't pretend to know whether or not the gaming industry is a career he is looking into but if it is, I wanted people to see that his work is brilliant and of an academic quality.

Oh and Ench, I believe that Paramonia has been vastly updated since that picture which I think was taken in June.

T-Nex - yes, I have made this project entirely by myself, with some help from my girlfriend Lisa, Avenging Gibbons is working on Abe's texture and TriA did the programoing in the demo. Other than that I have done everything, exept STM did the website

Enchilado - the "stick trees" are a very very extremely old (crappy)image. this was done when I was first learning Lightwave (self taught) and yes I am ashamed of them lol
but progress is progress right?

Well I think it was very thoughtful of you to go out of your way like that just to be humble.

@Ench - thankyou but it is the truth, I added very little to the progress at all really.

Of course! And the newer (well, I guess they're newer) screenshots look pretty damn cool, in my opinion.

I really hope you find a programmer, because I want to play this.

STM Don't underestimate what you have done for me....I have no idea where to even start putting a website together hense the reason I used youtube and deviantart. You may not have added to the progress of the project but you are the person who is recording the progress. I think you have done a great job.

TriA has programmed the first rough demo so I think he should be credited

I'm just going to say STM does seem a bit soaring sky-high with fame and glory as if to make Fanwerkz sound a lot more awesome than it really is. The way he ptiches it, it sounds like a 200-man project or something mega-awesome, which while it is mega-awesome, it seems to still be a bit of an over exaggeration. To me STM is just making Fanwerkz sound awesome, but the main problem I have with that is that Fanwerkz is really just three guys, one doing the programming and the like, the other doing the website, and the third making models and textures. Perhaps it is just the title, and saying "we are back" but STM seems to be crediting Fanwerkz with a little bit more than he should be.

Just saying. STM isn't really making himself look great, he just seems a bit of a director and press figure, which gives the impression he is a big help, even if he has not really sped up progress of the game itself. When you find out he is not much of a help, I guess you might believe he is just a glory-hog.

STM just kind of hangs around (From what I gather). Even so, just being about is a help... Kind of. He did make the website though, which adds a semi-proffesional feel to the idea of the game.

I must say that Paramonia is looking fantabulastic too.

Dunno, but I am impressed with the project. Just not impressed with STM's presentation of it. Sorry STM I really really don't mean to poop on you if that's the impression i give you x_x I just needed to let out my steam.

I still don't care if that makes you feel better.

I can understand people saying they don't like the presentation but then, that's poking holes without sewing them up isn't it. Ack, I was told to wait longer before I released the site, I should have expected this kind of feed back from this forum. Never mind.

Oh and also, it didn't seem to make much sense to put the website title as Fanwerkz - 3 people on a shitty new website. I'm pretty sure that would turn people away from Nowtun's work. XD I'm not quite sure how to take Oddey's post but I will say this, The Oddworld Remake really is an amazing project, I don't want to put Nowtun on the spot but what he has built so far is truly brilliant and looks expertly designed.

to answer this... the same can be said to nearly all the members on here. to be honest all I have done is present my work on this forum and joined in some idle chit chat from time to time, Im not really interested in all the bitching that seems to be going on here on some of the other threads (most of them actually)

for the time ive "known" STM, hes a good guy and for his age hes done a good job

I wonder if I would have got the same response if I had released this blog???

Edit: does only 3 or 4 people on the project make a difference? look at JAW... theres only a handfull of people working there.

I will say that your website is more aesthetically pleasing than the new official Oddworld site. That being said, I don't care about fan games.
