STM, lets be real here. Do you really think you can create a fan remake of oddworld? What tools are you going to use? Do you even have the time and skill to even work on this yourself?

Very impressive, but i don't have much faith. I have seen...like what? It least ten people trying to give this a go and i still haven't even seen a demo.

Understandable but....... I do have a small rough demo.....what my last programmer was working on but....I dont have permission from him to use this as he disappeared over a month ago. It is his programming but my models and animation. So I'm not sure whether I am allowed to show it....

ya know what... fuck it and fuck him... I'll post some cips of it on youtube now....and just credit him

Speaking of this. Now i'm not much of the legal type here. But are you even allowed to create a remake of oddworld?

STM dug up some legal stuff yesterday and as long as I dont make money from it and credit OWI then its ok. But Lorne and Sherry are aware of my project.

So i'm guessing you contacted them right?

Yeah I did a while back and Larry Shapiro offered me a recomendation.

Well any way. Untill i see a working demo, i'm still not convinced.

But all the same, i wish you good luck.

I may try to post myself playing the demo tomorrow, if I can get camtasia working.

Nowtun, I have complete faith in your project; seeing ANY kind of demo this early would be more than awesome.

So you're going to do this all for free? That's a noble cause sir. That is, if it's good. But seriously, I hope to see a video also.

I'm really glad I showed Nowtun this site, it is good to see mostly positive feedback. Needless to say if we can't find a programmer here, we will keep looking. I don't want to see all of Nowtun's hard work stop because of this set back.

Hey, sorry I’m sounding negative, but look at these guys. They seemed very serious about creating a fan game too, but haven't heard from them in a while. I will admit though, the demo does look pretty good. If you do pull it off, great. I know I won't turn my nose up at. All I was meaning was that people seem to lose interest or run into blocks.

Let give you good piece of advice, learn the programming yourself. I have seen many fan projects(not just oddworld) go under because the creators couldn't program it themselves.

Even if you do make it, I won't care.
