My braces went on today. I was originally having them put on ~2 months ago, but couldn't make the appointment due to illness.

I've been a state of reasonable pain for the last hour-and-a-half. Fuck.

That is all.

If this is any consolation, it'll only hurt for a few days, then followed by about 18 months of extreme discomfort, great inconvenience and utter horror whenever you try to eat anything resembling spaghetti.

Then they get taken out, and after about a month when your teeth have resettled back in their original positions, all will be fine again.
