Considering I got a borderline pass (D3) on the coursework for that module which is worth 40% and a C1 overall, I'm pretty proud of what I must have done on the exam last May which I did without did without...reading...any of the coursebooks...

That's the overall grade for the module by the way, not just the exam result.

Also this is university, a D is average.

The marking system was changed from 20/20 to allow for the genius level scores because markers were loathe to give out A1s and A2s to an excellent but less than perfect performance, thus artificially lowering the grading standard.

If you achieved an A in a Philosophy exam you get an auto-A for the course regardless of your coursework.

Bizarre. I just get a mark out of 100. Simples.

I love how much higher your grade for Heroic Men is than Heroic Women.

Think about it this way Gabe and Ghost, I went up two marks from my coursework to my final mark because of my exam on Heroic Men, but I went up FIVE marks from coursework to final mark for my exam on Heroic Women.

Also, the literature we studied on Heroic Men were Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Oedipus Rex, Thus Spoke Zarathustra, Maus, A Hero Of Our Time and Ma Vie en Rose. All six of which are amongst my favourite books and one of my most cherised films.

In comparison for Heroic Women we read The Scarlet Letter, Mother Courage and her Children, Beloved, A Week Like Any Other, Pheadre and some plays by Rosario Castellanos. Out of those I only actually read Mother Courage before the exam and only like three of them.
