I'm used to the hour long phone conversations my gran starts. But since she found out about my A levels she has decided to be especially blunt.

The very second i pick the phone up:

"You know Tom, science and the lord's work go together".

Er ... and hello to you.

They go together like water and electricity. There's nothing wrong with having them in the same room, but actually introduce them together and you end up not with the kickarse superpowers you might hope for, but hospitalization and death.

my grandmother often phones my mobile while i'm working/drinking/drinking at work/having a shit to inform me of a program on the history channel.

wasn't the best time to know that Fred Dibnah was on while i was cornering a group of nervous heifers. i had a very loud police siren ringtone back then. jesus.

nice to keep in contact, though.
