I wasn't expecting a whole lot of Posability from him. I want him more for the aesthetic and just to have a combiner that isn't "Okay fold down nose cone and shove peg up the jet's ass for a leg".
Can the Mixmaster head be put on anything, or is it really out of balance?

Well, you'll be pleased. And do you mean the combined head? the whole cement barrel clips in to Scavenger's body and hooks into the wheels on the the top, it's pretty solid.

On the individuals:

Overload:
Overload looks like a depressed Voldo gimp. His head looks like BMJetstorm only downcast. His arms have decent posability, but most of it goes into the transformation. His legs are just a pair of stumps with no forward or back, because they need to support the whole combiner.

Mixmaster:
Mixmaster is awkward. He has spindly, fragile-looking arms, but the ball joints all go odd ways so you find one pose and leave him like that. He has a cute, expressive face, but it's pretty small. His transformation is incredibly complex-feeling and confusing but...then it becomes insanely easy. It's like opening a flower.

Long Haul:
Long Haul is the most solid and easy Constructicon. He has thick legs and big, chunky arms, and only a few points of articulation. His chest and face sculpt is awesome. The reason he's so solid is that he forms a foot, but manages to be solid without being a brick, unlike Rampage.

Rampage:
Ravage is the most boring Constructicon. The dude has a decent face sculpt, but he's just boring with tiny barely-poseable arms and a solid shaft for a leg. It sucks that he has one brick to stand on when Long Haul gets two, but on the bright side Rampage can fold down the lower half of his caterpillar treads to make a ridimentary quadrupedal mode...if you've got the imagination.

Scrapper:
Scrapper is probably the best Constructicon. He's got ball-jointed shoulders and waist for the two legs, and the way his feet transform means they're on ball-joints too! He looks great as a creepy thin-man, and the scissor claws looks great.

Scavenger: Even though Scavenger forms the torso of Devastator, he still manages to look cool. The two wheels are fiddly to align right, but when they do it looks awesome, and the head sculpt and vehicle side detail look awesome.

Hightower:
For such a basic-looking guy, Hightower manages to be really interesting. His treads transform in an interesting way, and the crane is actually quite fiddly. Even better, his little hook can fold in and a nasty-large wrecking claw can fold out.

I was wondering if Mixmaster, with Devastator face out, can be mounted on other figures for hilarious results.

Either way, I'm buying it. I'd prefer to buy it bit-by-bit, rather than one huge package, though.

I can see why they'd do it as a pack, though. I pity the poor american kid whose parents buy him just Rampage.
