I should be doing work! (Uni update part 2)
So, Freshers Week this year was fun. I got to dress up like a knight, stand in front of a stall and have pretty girls ask if they can touch my sword for two days. I'm generally getting better at swordfighting (Having the keenest member of the group as a flatmate helps) and I feel really good for it. I'm confident that with some work put in I could make knighthood next semester, or possibly next summer camp.
Also this year I joined the LGBT and the Japanese society, I got a bit sick for a few days over a combination of drinking too much and eating bad sushi (That I made myself) and I got far far too drunk at the first LGBT meeting. I remember being really really shy, talking to Dawn and Laura (My lesbian friends) who I met last year and noticing that vodka doubles only cost £1.00. Then it all went blank.
I am generally trying and making an effort to be more social this year, sharing a flat with people I actually like helps and so does actually having money I'm not spending on ridiculously overpriced train tickets to Aberdeen. I plan to visit the gym more often, make more friends and generally be less in-my-shell.
Now a little note about my brother, because I do like to bitch and gossip. He gets approximately the same amount of student loan as me (He lives at home, pays a fraction of my rent and gets free food) and has blown six hundred pounds of it (Out of this semesters loan) on Pagan trinkets and baubles -_- he has a divining rod, two decks of tarot cards, scented candles, crystals, lots of piercings, tatoos, jewellery, just urgh. It's not like I particularly mind what he wastes his money on, but I find it a bit offensive that I have to scrimp and save to afford a few luxuries a term and he blows all his money on useless shit. I dunno, it just kind of gets to me.
Also I had a crush on a really pretty guy who was in my psychology tutorial. It was very schoolgirlesque for a couple of weeks but now I'm getting over it ^-^ the fact I can actually have a crush again is a positive thing I think, and I hope it continues.
Also, ET is a really fucking stupid timezone, I mean come on OANST? Seriously?
PS: Wireless internet is crap.
