Just thinking about it this morning after being reminded of my last visit to Wales by the sign for the train station in the National Railway Museum. I never thought that the name of a train station would make me feel stupid, but I don't want to try to pronounce it, as I don't speak Welsh, so I'll get it wrong.

I remember hearing a spoof of a love song on the radio. There were a bunch of intentionally cheesy lyrics, and then he said "she's my Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch girl."

Means something like "Train Station behind the trees" and some other parts that I forget, doesn't it? You can tell that it wasn't named in a serious vein.

Funnily enough, I went to Wales today. It was Portmerion. I saw a lot of road markers reading "ARAF SLOW""
