Games! Prizes! Irony!

So I took Abbey to the fair the other day, and at one of the carney booths they had a gigantic Tom and a gigantic Jerry. Abbey loves Tom and Jerry, so I decided to try my hand at the game. It's the one where they have four bottles stacked on each other, and you have to knock them all down with a ball. However, the bottles weigh about 15 pounds apiece, and the ball is extremely light.

So I'm trying, and trying, and trying, and I just can't fucking do it. At one point I got three down, but three down just doesn't fucking cut it, now does it? So I wait until there are no customers around, and I say to the carnie, "What do I need to do to win Tom," while pointing at what I want. He gives me his big, shit-eating carnie grin and says, "All you have to do is knock down these." "No, no, no," I say. "What do I have to do to win Tom." He promptly stops smiling and says "Thirty bucks." I agree and hand him the money.

He now gives me another ball and tells me to try again, and he will pretend that I won. I take the ball, wind up, and let it fly. One, two, three, four bottles fall down. I just stand there staring at them with mouth open while the carnie laughs his ass off.
