My Second Blog: P!nk in concert & University Woes!

Posted 04-29-2009 at 03:35 PM by AlexFili
I know it's been a while since my last post, and it'll be a while before my next one. So I apologize.

P!nk was really awesome tonight, she was strugging her stuff like nobody's business. She did some really awesome covers as well, she did a Gnarles Barkley - Crazy cover... and probably one of the most epic covers I've heard;

Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody Very very awesome.

She played all of her best songs as well; Pill, Started, So What, Sober, Funhouse, Bad Influence... Brilliant set as well, lots of great costumes, trapeeze artists, dancers, musicians... The family portrait song was great, there was a bit where a guy with a piano came on and did a 4-5 minute length intro for it, it was totally awesome.

It was at the Liverpool Echo arena. Pretty spacious really, took us about 1 hour to get out of the carpark though. Dad's satnav was driving me nuts as well.

Gotta hand in my final report today. Had to get it bound and everything, after this... just two weeks of revision and then exams!

Wish me luck folks!

Who is P!nk? And is "So What?" a Miles Davis cover?

Enjoy your revision.

P!nk is a little popstar tartlet who made it big with obnoxious 'in your face' rock.

So I take it it's all this horrible new-age synth stuff with one or two repetetive guitars/basses thrown in?

She's pretty good. I'm surprised you haven't seen her yet. She does tons of great music videos.

Try looking up "Pink music video" on youtube and seeing what you find. "Stupid Girls" is very amusing.

I'd like to hear her cover "L'Agrippina, moglie di Tiberio" by Giovanni Battista.

I've taken a look, and to be honest, it's too generic for me. I need some Coltrane or Mingus for real satisfaction.
