Am I the only one?

That Logo's like these in the game

creeped me out? Like when I was little, something about it was just creepy. I dunno if it was the Glukkon head or the shade of it along with the shape. Or maybe it was just the smile itself. Either way, it still gives me the heeby jeebies.

Did you find the logos more creepy than the Glukkons themselves?

Slogs scared my brother, I think Glukkons kind of did as well, but he must have only been about 8 or something, I was 10 by the time I was playing Oddworld so none of it really scared me.

Fleeches, Scrabs and Slogs scared me to death back when I was a kid.
I actually remember crying after I was cornered by a few fleeches and I was slowly being eaten.

I shouldn't played Oddworld when I was 6...

The only thing that scared me in Oddworld was in AO when sligs would randomly run into the screen.

Back when I was like 6 I played AO in the stockyards with the Scrabs, the tension music plus the Scrab ripping apart that Mudokon scared the shit out of me..
Also the Greeter's large smile still creeps me out today...Reminds me of Courage The Cowardly Dog..

Quite a few of the things in Oddworld scared me when I was little, but mostly due to the fact that Abe is constantly being chased. Fleeches were the worst for me I think. However, that was all part of the fun for me, being chased by scary monsters was pretty exciting but frightening at the same time.

I never founded fleeches scary, just damn annoying!

I think I first played Oddworld when I was about 5 or 6, but still, only the Sligs running into the screen scared me, the music didn't help either!

I have to admit in AO, when I was around 6 years of age, the Paramonian and Scrabanian nests were a place where panic would set in as soon as I saw either creature, I'd spend a good hour planning ahead using the first well to "Scout From Afar" as it were, but even after that, I'd still fail, after about 20 attempts in both nests, I finally did it, but only to be greeted by Slogs in the Stockyards (I hate Slogs), in AE, the mix of Slurgs and Fleeches was frightening too, tread on those purple blobs and you're dead, but strangely, I found that AE was slightly easier, probably because you could possess both Paramites and Scrabs by that point, the Vaults were slightly underwhelming because of that.

The nature sound when you first boot up the game scared the fuck out of the me first time I played it. I lept on the console and switched it off.

I used to shit myself at the free fire zone when a slig would suddenly shoot at you without warning. I always had a horrible stomache feeling when playing that area, I guess the creepiness of it being at night and the tense music added to it aswell

Yeah. When I was little I wondered why they didn't scream "WAIT" In the FFZ. But now I realize its "Free-Fire Zone." Which means shoot at will xDD.

Scrabs and sligs used to scare me, but Paramites were the worst. They reminded me of facehuggers and spiders.

Someone I went to school with told me he got nightmares from playing Oddworld. I was shocked; that seemed so weird to me. I'd only ever found it to be cool and fascinating. Sure Oddworld could be dark and scary, but to me that was only in the compelling, tension/building way, not the actual terror way.

Scrabs were the main thing to stop me from finishing the game when I was young. I got up to Scrabania, then just stopped because I was too frightened by them. Then I lost the discs in a move and didn't play it again until my first eBay purchase at sixteen years old.

At that point, everything still scared the crap out of me, but in a perfect way. The way that makes you yell at the screen and shit yourself a bit when you're being chased by pretty much anything in the game. Slogs and Scrabs, I think, are the most initially frightening, however some of the scariest moments are when that second Paramite webs down out of no-where. In no other game, ever, have I been so compelled to just run the fuck away without putting any thought to where. Just away.

So that's why it's my favourite game of all time, anyway.

^ This.

Nothing in Oddworld ever really scared me. The first time I ever beat AO I remember yelling, throwing my controller, and running into my room on the verge of tears because it called me a knucklehead. After I got over that bitch fit I shakily started back at the return to Rupture Farms and tried to rescue as many muds as I could. I had to have been at least 6. Really, it was more of a HOW DARE YOU INSULT ME FOR PLAYING A GAME rather than I'M SO SCARED THIS GAME JUST CALLED ME A FAILURE AND I DIED

I remember getting scared when you know youve messed up and you have to die. Like running from a scrab and missing the well or door by one step, then you panic and just stand there acceptin the fact your going to die.

Yup.

Scrabs had to be the most annoying of the challenges, Paramites on the other hand, were a bit more timid, the one annoying thing about Paramites on AO, was in one certain part of of the Paramonian Temple, were you had to get to the bell song stone but that single Paramite blocked the path, so annoying haha!
