Trials of the Tribe

Well, now the happy holidays are over and we’re all looking for some way to distract ourselves from the real world, I decided it was time to lend a hand for this most noble cause… or something.
Anyway, this is the first RPG I’ve made but I’ve been planning it for about 24 hours so it should be good!

I’ll start by reminding everyone to read the RPG rules before starting, which can be found here:

From there I’ll add the extra stuff:No controlling other people’s characters unless they give you permission. I would not advise completely placing your character into someone else’s control for any reason other than you want to leave but don’t want your characters to die. To note, agreeing to follow another character or asking them to lead you somewhere is giving them permission to move your character, or assume you’re following them.
Second, no official Oddworld characters, so no Abe or Bigface of Molluck and so on.
Lastly, don’t go running off on a one-man crusade, don’t go on your own mini adventure alone, try and involve other characters. Obviously you don’t have to have an escort everywhere you go, but don’t start writing a novel just about your characters.
As an extra, I would appreciate it if you have some RPG experience before starting here, just so it flows a little smoother. You don’t have to be an expert, as long as people can understand your posts easily enough, and can post frequently without breaking the rules I’m happy.

Anyway, time for the backstory, ya see…

The Mudakee Tribe lived reasonably happily in a forest to the Northwest of Mudos, until about 20 years go when a glukkon called Director Ghermin decided to build a factory in the middle of their hunting ground.
The tribe was willing to let him stay there, until they began catching all the animals in the surrounding area to use in his animal tesing lab (Ghermin's Vermin Learnin). With no animals left to hunt, the Mudakee Tribe had to begin raiding the factory for food. Many attempts were also made to break into the factory and blow it up. Over time about two thirds of the tribe were shot or captured on these raids. In the end the leaders of the tribe, the shaman, head warrior, head hunter and tribe chief decided the only choice was to move the tribe away and resettle elsewhere.
Unfortunately it appeared the industrialists had grown tired of the conflict and a few days before the planned move, a squad of sligs arrived at the village and in the way only sligs can, began shooting everything in sight.

This RPG begins the day after this slaughter ends, when the survivors of the attack begin to gather together and try and work out what to do next.


Alright, at the moment you can have a maximum of 3 characters, though this may change if the RPG proves successful. You can choose to be either a member of the tribe (mostly native and escapee mudokons but possibly with some native sligs or rebel sligs and vykkers, depending on how you feel) or part of the squad that attacked the village, the general industrial army types. Most of the squad has returned to the factory though there may be a few left behind, either lost in the fight or looking for survivors. This may also change if the RPG lasts; I might add people in the factory as well, but at the moment I don't want it getting too complicated.

Info you need for a character:

Name: [if you need help with this one you’re in the wrong forum mate]
Race: [native mudokon, industrial slig, escapee mudokon, and so on]
Age: [In earth terms, you don’t have to be too specific though]
Gender: [Male or female]
Position: [Their "job" or position in the tribe or squad or whatever]
Appearance: [distinguishing characteristics, the huge pulsating red spot on his nose, the scar across his chest]
Equipment: [what your character is carrying]
Bio: [characters life story and personality]


As a note, Spooce doesn’t grow in this forest so they don’t have any, sorry (its only cause I don’t know much about it, flippin Munch not coming out on PC!)

And I think that’s about it, we’ll start in a week or so when we have a few people joining.

In the meantime, here are my characters:

Name: Cheddar Longwing
Race: Native mudokon shaman
Age: "A little older than my skin and a little younger than my mind." In other words, none of your business! Old.
Gender: Male
Position: Head Shaman
Appearance: Green skin, turning grey. Like all shaman he wears a mask, his is sort of like an upside-down triangle that splits up at the top. As well as the traditional loincloth, he also where’s a long blue-white cloak, which splits into two sections about halfway down. His feathers are surprisingly vibrant red, like fire, despite his age.
Equipment: Red/green triangular mask of a shaman, blue/white cloak that splits halfway down into two large sections, loincloth, wooden staff with a masquito trapped in solid nectar set in the top (like the flies in Jurassic Park.
Bio: Born and raised a native, Cheddar Longwing began training as a shaman at a very young age and was the chief shaman in the tribe before it was attacked. He can be rather irritable but is deeply upset by the destruction of the tribe. He is rather wise but can occasionally be a bit eccentric and too much into playing the character of Shaman.

Name: Albert
Race: Native mudokon
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Position: Young warrior/hunter
Appearance: Blue and purple rings in his feathers, wears a belt on his loincloth, scar of black skin on his right upper arm muscle.
Equipment: Two short knives in his belt, quiver of arrows on his back, bow slung over right shoulder. Sometimes wears a band of animal skin over his right upper arm to hide his scar.
Bio: A very versatile person meaning he acted both as a hunter and a warrior in the tribe, using a variety of weapons. He is well meaning and respectful to his superiors, maybe a little to much as he often becomes clumsy and nervous when come upon suddenly. He is rather self-conscious and often tries to hide the scar on his right arm. He is both suspicious and nervous that his left leg might be half-a-centimetre longer than his right.

Brilliant, I've been looking for a RPG to join.

Slig and Slog duo.
Name: Slugger/Jaws.
Race: Slig/Slog.
Age: Middle aged/Just out of ‘puppy’hood.
Gender: Male/Male.
Position: Slugger was a grunt in the massacre and Jaws was his Slog partner.
Appearance: (AE style Slig) Slugger: Just your normal Slig, although one of his biochemical legs has Jaws’ teething marks on it… Jaws: Average Slog other then being kind of runty.
Equipment: Slugger has his Slig semi-automatic rifle but nothing other then that.
Bio: Slugger: For a while he worked at the factory where he grudgingly acquired a Slog pup, the runt of the litter. He likes being on his own and he’s not to be trusted. ‘Live without warning’ is his motto, which he proved when he suddenly decided to sign up for the extermination squad, and once again when he shot his superior and took off with Jaws. Slugger may not like killing Mudokons but he doesn’t really like them either. He believes they have their uses.
Jaws: Unusually for a Slog, Jaws is a fun-loving and good-tempered mutt whose sunny nature has a positive effect on Slugger (even if he’s not willing to admit it). Liking to get into anything and everything Jaws frequently gets into trouble. But whatever is happening Jaws is always cheerful and ready for a tummy-rub. Being such a nice Slog and also being the runt of his litter, Jaws had a bad time at the factory, until he was foisted on Slugger. His life has only gotten more interesting since.

Just a question, some people use 'storytelling' for the RPG format. Are you using that or the convential method in the rules?

Name: Sly
Race: Slig
Age: Adult
Gender: Male
Position: Gunslinger
Appearance: Nearly a typical slig, as you can recall. Has a large scar reaching from his upper eyelid up to his neck. (From his older partner, Slogann) Has claws instead of fingernails, and the tip of one of his (I want to say mouth) has been chewed off.
Equipment: Blitz Packer (small vers.)
Bio: Selfish, corrupted, and evil...aren't things to say about this Slig. He might've been a cold-hearted Slig during the times of Rupture Farms, but by duty, it was how he was supposed to act. Ever since Rupture Farms blew up, his attitude changed dramatically to his true self: A selflessness, near kind-hearted, but devilish Slig, nearly corrupted by industry. When losing to his partner, Slogann, nothing has been the same, since he had ordered a pack of other bio-engineered enhanced Slogs to kill him. Now he regrets the day he had ever done that. Surviving the explosion of Vykker's Labs II, it was his duty to fight against the industrial leige, but it would be a tough job, without his partner. (end of bio)

Ok, I think I've got a profile sorted now:

Name: Abhay
Race: Native mudokon
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Position: Scout/Hunter
Appearance: He's slightly taller than the average mudokon and he has blue feathers. Apart from that, he looks like your average mud.
Equipment: Loincloth and a sling for hurling stones. A pouch for carrying stones. He likes to travel lightly.
Bio: Abhay has been a native mudokon for all of his life. He has learned how to chant, but due to his low will-power and self-confidence, he has been unable to possess any creatures as of yet. He has near-perfect aim with his slingshot within throwing range, and is very quick and light on his feet. He always strives to do his job to the best of his ability, but even when he is commended for his work he always thinks he has let them down.

That's great Gretin, Dark Elite, are you saying your slig is a renegade? I understood most of it but I didn't quite get the end. Sorry Still It's better we get this sorted out now rather than halfway through.

This is great, though we could probably use some more mudokons. Anyway, We shall start soon, I don't expect everyone to join straight away.

Appearance: Tribal Markings on his face, chest, arms, and legs
Equipment: Holds a Staff with a slig skull on the top. In his off-hand, he carries a green orb which heals others and also casts attacking spells.
Bio: In his younger days, he was interested in deep magic power. He had received an orb in which had been passed on in the family for generations. He carved the staff himself, and mounted a slig skull on top of it. To this day, he watches over the village and goes into great raids just incase any warriors might need healing and extra help.

I am joining. Here are my character(s) (You can make more than one right?)
1st character:
Name: Hadda
Race: Freed as an egg but brought up as a Native Mudokon
Age: 18 (teenage mudokon)
Gender:Male
Position: Hpoing to be a trainee shaman
Appearance: He is smaller and more slender than most mudokons, due to being younger. He has got bright orange headfeathers, and wears a jewelled bracelet given to him by his adopted father (rescued as an egg). He also carries a sling around in his loincloth.
Equipment: His sling, spooce from time to time.
Bio: Hadda was born several years before the factory was set up, but has had a life of risk for the past couple of years, from being picked on by bully mudokons for being smaller and younger, to the threats of the nearby factory. He experienced losing childhood friends and relatives many times due to the factory attacks, and lost his closest friend, Jibb, to the Slig raids yesterday. He wants to become a shaman, and is planning on asking Cheddar for the training.

Character 2 (If I'm allowed):
Name: Laskar (Nicknamed and cut down to Las or Lask by the natives)
Race: Rebel Slig
Age: 34 (human years)
Gender: Male
Position: Village sentry and heavy labour worker
Appearance: A darker green than normal Slig, with no mask and with pants that have been recoloured into more native styles, mudokon tribe paint over his body, a necklace of teeth bones and feathers to further show his new native status.
Equipment: A Tomahawk, and Slig Rifle with a silencer.
Bio: Laskar always knew he was different to other Sligs. He wasn't as sadistic or cruel, he also seemed to find most of their work repetitive and unrequiring of brains. He wanted a job in the medical or media world, but, being a Slig he was turned down as a medic, and being smart and unfavoured for his personality he was turned down as a newsreader or journalist. He was still disgusted by the way he had to treat mudokons, and let them off likely when possible, which got him into fights with others. This led to him gaining a decent ability at fighting hiding and being resouurceful. When Director Ghemin built this factory near a mudokno tribe, he was sent to work there, but as soon as the first attack by the mudokons came, he took his chance and escaped It took him time to be accepted by the tribe, but after aiding them with raids he proved himself. He is now a good friend and indeed a near-parental figure of the teenage Hadda.

Sorry for the long bios, I just can't stop when I start profiling. So Splat, are both these guys allowed, or do I need to cut one out?

OOC: i've wanted to join this RP earlier, but i either didn't have the time, or i did, and then i got interupted <.<

Name: Niamae
Race: Mudokon
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Position: A defender. Has a self-made slingshot, and is very good at using it. He has trained using it all his life, and would only miss rarely. He's also ok at hand-to-hand fighting, but would rather stick with his slingshot.
Appearance: He has painted himself with the colors of his surroundings, so that he can camouflage himself, when the enemies strike. He also has a green leather-mask, that only shows his eyes, and mouth(so he can breathe). But his body-structure is just the average native-mudokon one.
Equipment: His Slingshot, which he carries in his pocket from his loin-clothe. He also has different kinds of ammunition for his sling shot, that could be normal stone-pieces, small pieces of trees, or the little animals with tiny, but pointy horns on their back.
Bio: He was born in the tribe. When he was 5 years old, it was time for him to decide which road he wanted to take, to help the tribe out. He chose the defender-spot, and they trained him to use weapons. First they teached him close-combat, and then they went on to the slingshot, which Niamae thought was the best weapon he'd ever tried to use, so he stuck with it, and specialized his skills with the slingshot.
Niamae likes to go solo, and if he's put on a mission with a partner, he either leaves him, or just ignores him, trying to complete the mission by himself. He doesn't like hanging out in the tribe either, but likes roaming around for himself, hunting his own food, and killing the enemy-slig. Most of the Mudokons from the tribe don't know him, but know him as "the Ghost", because he doesn't really like showing himself. The only one he listens to is the tribe-leader.

Appearance: dark green,(colour of the forest leaves) is smaller than your average mudokon, has a spider tattoo in the dead center of his chest/stomach region. Wears a loin cloth with a spider emblem in the direct center.
Position: scout thing
Equipment: a blow dart, cloth sack full with darts, camoflague cloak
Bio: is terrified of being captured by the magog cartel so he spends most of his time alone or around his closest friends, he uses his blowdart to pick off lone sligs, he's distrusting and paranoid\

EDIT: i just read t-nex's post and my character in similar to t-nex's so i might change my character or make a new one

Bio:Jaran is mudokon who always stayed away from the tribe.Because he stayed in a cavern all his life,his skin turned to black.Even if he stays away from his tribe,he still secretly cares for it.Seeing the attack,his blood boiled and he decided to slaughter every industrials he saw and everyon standing in his way,whoever it could be.

Personnality:Jaran is the kind of mudokon who likes to make his enemies suffer.Most of the time,he is silent and away from the others.He always think for himself.

That's alright, T and Salamander, I like your characters, can't wait to see em. Slamander, i don't think yours is too similar but we'll wait and see how it turns out. Dark mudokon, remember the rules against god-modding, don't go psycho on us!

I don't know when it'll start, but i just need to introduce another character i had planned to post. I just didn't have the time <_<

Name: Nr. 182 (People call him Bass)
Race: BigBro Slig.
Age: 32 in earth years i guess...
Gender: Male.
Position: Guards the outside Factory, but has been put on the task to capture or kill any free mudokons.
Appearance: Looks like a normal BigBro, but wears a normal gun.
Equipment: Has armour that covers his chest, and a mask with nightvision. He has a normal gun, since he hates BlitzPackers. He also has a sniper, which he only uses rarely. In a pocket, he also has a knife(Just in chase).
Bio: He was always the one to pick on other Sligs, and didn't treat anyone with respect, except his boss. He was soon made a BigBro, because of his high endurance and will to become the best. He's usually friendly with Sligs that reminds him of himself, but really hates Mudokons.
But even though he has this Non-one-messes-with-me attitude, he'd do anything for a good friend. His best friend died on a mission a while ago, which only made him more hostile to other people. He doesn't care at all about those sligs, weaker than him.
His favourite line is: "It's bad for your health to stick around with those, weaker than you." or "Boom! Got'cha! Hahahaha!"

Appearance: average mudokon, has deep silver eyes, and has a deep gash along his left arm, he has been branded with the rupture farms symbol on the back of his neck
Equipment: Black thorned whip
Bio: Once part of the mudomo vault mudokons he was banished after framed for the murder of the clan chief, he travelled in search of a new tribe, he was bitten by a poisonous spider and was forced to cut out the infected area of his arm. He fell asleep and was captured by two sligs and was taken half way to rupture farms but managed to escape after one slig died and the other one lost his gun.

I originally intended to start tomorow, but as I have some free time and because Munch's Master was nice enough to update his fic a day early, I'll do it now and we can get started.

The Dark Mudokon, I was hoping we could get more experienced RPers at the moment, until we get this properly up and running. If you want to join once you've got some more experience, fine, but at the moment I'd prefer people who already have an idea of the rules (which it would seem you have not read all of, even if you have read some of them).
Anyway, let's get going, shall we.

The Trials of the Tribe

Albert, young warrior of the Mudakee tribe, crawled to the front of the hollow that he'd taken refuge in during the night after the horrific events of the night before. Memories of the shooting and the screaming still echoed in his brain. Towards the east smoke was already rising from the factory that had ordered the slaughter of his people. Behind which the first glows of the sun were showing as dawn drew near. The forest and sky seemed unnaturally quiet and empty, perhaps it was also suffering from the fear of the day before.

He heard a rustle in the hollow behind him and turned to see Cheddar Longwing, head shaman of the Mudakee tribe crawling forwards behind him, dragging his staff along the ground.
Cheddar: "What time is it?"
Albert was a little nervous talking with someone who he had held in awe all his life, but answered, "Just before dawn. Smoke is already rising from the factory."
Cheddar came to the entrance and looked around. "If any others survived we must make sure they find us. We'll survive longer if we group together."
Albert: "But any flare or noise would let the industrialists know where we are as well."
Cheddar: "It's a risk we have to take. The sooner we find each other the better." He stood up, raised his staff and shot out of it a flash of yellow light that raised into the air and seemed to explode into a ball of smoke that drifted slowly upwards. Cheddar sat down again and crawled towards the entrance to the hollow.
Cheddar: "We'll take shelter again. Hide and watch out for any of us that saw that. Keep yourself armed and we'll fight back any industrialists that come this way as well."

Ooc|- I think we need more Industrial ppl :S. Out of so many characters, we only have 3 sligs on the industrial side i think...

Niamae woke up with the sound of a hungry Paramite, dragging the remainings of his food away. He hadn't had a place to store it, so he usually hung dryed meat to his loinclothe if he'd be away from the tribe in a longer amount of time, which he usually was. Without thinking over it, he took a stone and threw it at the Paramite, and then stood up in a sudden move. It was enough to scare the paramite away. He rubbed his head and straightened out his feathers. He was still in search for the survivors of the village, only to see if the Head Shaman was still alive. it was a bit of a long time since he'd checked last time, and got a bit worried, although he wouldn't show that to anyone. He ate a bit of his food, and then he packed the rest of the stuff. He always had his Slingshot read, in chase of enemy sligs.

IN a more distant place, Bass was alone, in search for anything on two legs. He'd either shoot them or join them, depending on if it was a slig or a mud. He took out his radio, and called: "This is 182, If anyone listenes, respond immediatly, over."
He waited a while and repeated the message.
He didn't like the thought of moving alone in a Mudokon forrest. He knew that they were good when it came to silent killings. Well most of them were. He also missed some company since he was very bored.

ooc: If the RP seems to be struggling due lack of Industrials, I'll add one. I have like 20 characters (major and minor) from my fics that haven't been used in anything yet, so I'll pick one of them at random. Also ,I'll be editing my sig to add a link to here, to give it better publicity, so guys like Havoc, big bro boogie and dripik might join.
IC:
Hadda woke up in what was left of his hut- a few burnt sticks tied rouhgly together with Paramite gut and vine, and got up.
The terrible slaughter yesterday had caused him to see his best friend get gunned down, and he was depressed.
He walked out of his hut, picking up the spear he had made rough and ready during the chaos of the previous day at seeing the destruction about the village, and headed off to the stream to get something to drink. Maybe he could find something to eat as well, and get his mind off the carnage.

Laskar also woke up, he had never meant to fall asleep, due to the industrial attacks and the danger that they may be repeated, but the injuries and lack of energy had lulled him off.
He snatched up his rifle, slipped it into it's holster, slung it over his shoulder, then walked out of his tent.
He had had the foresight to take the standard issue survivall tent the Sligs were provided with for out of factory missions back when he deserted a month or so earlier, and it miraculously had survived the hell of yesterday.
He thuoght to himsellf: 'Better go find Cheddar an' tell him I wanna be a sentry. We need as many guards as we can get now, an' I could help out a lot.'
He headed off in the direction he knew the old shaman's private hut to be, looking around in horror and sadness at the wreckage littering the place, and hoping that most of the villagers had survived, particularly young Hadda.

Hm, well T-nex insisted that I joined this. And after reading trough it a bit, I must say it managed to capture my interest. If you guys don't mind, I'l join in .

I'd like to have one of my slig chars as the commander of a slig squad. Is that O.k with you Splat? If not then just concider the slig I appointed commander as a squad member.

Char 1:

Name: Mento Veldrac
Race: Industrial Slig
Age: 35
Gender: Male
Position: Commander / Squad Leader
Appearance: Mento wears a state of the art mask, equiped with night vision. Further he wears a military uniform with some medals pinned on it. His pants are painted in camo colors.
Equipment: He is usualy found using a Double barrel shotgun or a .22 machine gun (don't pin me on the kalibar number plz :P).
Bio: Mento lifed most part of his life in slig barracks. Here he fought his way up to the top, being General Dripik's right hand slig. Shortly after he reached Commander rank he was assigned his own squad. He and his squad are now stationed at the factory.
Status and rank is of big importance to Mento. Insubordination is not tolerated and will always be punished. Furthermore he expects everyone in his squad to adress him with Sir or Commander Veldrac. Mento is very loyal to his bosses however, and will do most he can to please them.

Char 2:

Name: Nick (He's Back!)
Race: Industrial Slig
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Position: Squad member
Appearance: Not much diffrent then your everyday slig.
Equipment: Standard issue machine gun.
Bio: Nick has been a mechanic at Rupture Farms from day one, being responsible for all the equipment. After the shutdown he went to work at the FeeCo Depot and a small while at Vykers Labs. When after a while he heard Rupture Farms had been re-opend, he went to work there again as a mechanic and security. After a few years, he was transferd to the Soulstorm Brewery re-construction site. Him and a fellow mudokon named Math stayed there for a few months, supervising the work. Nick was then orderd to go to this factory and was assigned to Mento's squad. Nick, not having any military dicipline or experience, is new to this and is beaten down by Mento a lot for this.

ooc: All I can say is poor Nick! He's not really going to become a baddie is he? Good ol' Nick can't start killing mudokons. I hope he joins the natives, I just can't imagine him hunting a shooting these villagers, strangle in anger yes, but not actually kill. Also, I'm going to trey and get more members for here as well.

Brilliant, We've Started.

Slugger listened warily to the sounds of the forest and held his semi-auto rifle close. Who knew if any other Sligs had been dispatched to gun down the deserter.

Slugger: "Stay alert Jaws. We don't want company."

Jaws growled in affirmative, trotting at Slugger's heels. Unlike his master, Jaws was happily enjoying himself. He stopped to sniff at a drift of leaves.

Jaws: Ummm, smells like Mudokons, wonder if they're any about? He wondered.

Suddenly a flash of yellow light blazed in the sky. Slugger immediately dropped to a crouch, rifle ready and issuing a blast of static in his panic.

Slugger: "Jaws down!" Jaws obeyed and cocked his head to one side listening. Suddenly, without warning, the runty Slog broke into a sprint and dashed through the trees, scattering leaves in his wake.

Slugger: "Jaws, Jaws!" hissed Slugger. The Slog ignored him and disappeared in the brush. Slugger swore and took off after the Slog.

Not realising they were headed straight for the source of the yellow light...

Race: Slog
Age: Young, mid-aged
Gender: Male
Position: N/A
Appearance: Not a regular slog indeed. (Read bio to understand) Has ears and eyes, not like a regular Slog.
Equipment: His mouth full of teeth and his claws
Bio: Under the surgical lights of Vykkers Labs, Slogann is not a regualr Slog that you would think he is. A biologically engineered enhanced Slog (BEE) with special implants to make him the first proto-type of the Vykker's dreams. Their plan was to make the greatest, most obediant Slog to a Slig owner, but their plan turned out to be a failure. After putting Slogann with a partner, Sly, that's when their plan turned out to be a faulty. His obediance to his master didn't comply, but did whatever he did without order, and Sly wasn't too happy about this. Since abandoned and nearly killed by his master, Slogann believes his destiny is to free his brothers and sisters from the Vykker's wrath in the newly built Vykkers Labs II. But without any help, it would be a hard journey.


IC:
He stumbled away from the industrial factory, having grief blowing heavily on his conscious. His mind showed fast-flowing images of his patner, left out in the wild, dead with the Fuzzles. But that was the only reason why he felt so misreable: He couldn't believe he murdered his partner.
Sly: Why, you stupid shmuck? Why, why, WHY?!" he pounded his head with both fists. He stopped in his tracks, the trees peering through to the shining moonlight slowly departing from the sky. His yellow-orange eyes sparkled sadly, with a tear nearly forming in his eye. He gazed back down to the forest floor, sniveling through his waterfalls of whiskers over his mouth. He heard many creatures jitter throughout the trees and brush, but what made him jump in surprise was the leaves rustling by him quickly. He laughed off his fear, walking backwards to the factory, his only safe spot. He turned back forward, hearing the scattering of leaves again, but closer. He slung his Blitz packer out to his hands, holding it out far to where the noises came. He kept frozen for a moment, then his arms relaxed lower. The factory's whistles blew loudly, the black smog thickening as it continued its whine. Sly looked back to the factory, sighing heavily, and slinging his weapon back over his shoulder.
"Time to go, an' check in..." he trailed off, slumping back to the factory without another sound. He saw his shadow embraced in a yellow color, shining high above the forest canopy. He spun back around, seeing the yellow flare ball, sparkling brightly enough to blind him temporarily. When his eyes adjusted, he gazed up at the flare for long moments. "What in odd is that?" Sly muttered loudly, not hearing the leaves crunch by him again. The factory whistles came to an end, the loud echoes brushing miles throughout the wild. He also heard series of Slogs, barking and howling loudly nearly a quarter mile away. He shot his stare over to the howls, noticing which howls they were...
"The Slogs..." Sly said to himself, thinking back again to his Slog partner, Slogann. He sent those Slogs out to murder him, the screwed up experiments of hell the Vykkers threw out. He looked back up to the flare again, then ran to the howling Slogs that had mitroubly killed his partner.

Silver stumbled over the thick gorse plants of the necrum forests, blood poured out the deep gash strecthing from his shoulder to his hand, his muscles ached and his neck seared from the branding he had recieved the previous night. Shouts of the sligs persuing him echoed his ears, He quickley lowered down into a narrow crevice for protection and starting to tend to his wounds when suddenly a series of twigs snaped and broke and a figure stood over him. Paralised by fear lay there mouth wide open, there was a sharp pain his chest and nothing.
