You sound pretty angry, OANST; you need to do something, move on somehow.

If only I knew what.

I watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes of the Land that Time Forgot. I thought it was alright! I mean I was stoned but it was still good man.

Also other things I have forgotten.

I actually watched Frozen the other night. It was so terrible, and not even enjoyably terrible. The premise was stupid, the characters were all assholes, and were constantly making stupid decisions. For example, even though they're trapped on a ski lift in sub-zero temperatures, this bitch still slept holding onto this metal bar, causing it to stick to her hand and having her rip the skin off her fingers and palm. Idiot.

It wasn't Disney's Frozen.

Frozen is a bad movie. Anna is the worst Disney protagonist since the princess classic archetype died out. She's pretty much a mouthpiece for every witty line the writers could think of. She sorely lacks consistency or a grain of sincerity as a character.

I watched V for Vendetta on Christmas. It was a much better movie than I remember it being. Perhaps because the setting of the movie vs the book has gained a lot more relevance in the eight years since it was made. Cameron is far more a Susan than a Sutler though.

I also saw some dumb pseudo-time-travel drivel with Sandra Bullock seeing prophecies of her life steadily being ruined. It was stupid and dumb and didn't know how to build suspense or keep a mystery compelling.

I watched The King of Comedy for the second time last night. Good movie with a good performance by Robert DeNiro. Although it says something about celebrity culture and worship it also touches on some uncomfortable points about spending your life living in personal fantasies.

I watched Zombieland. Man that movie blew major balls. Where were all the zombies? They should've just called it 'Land'. Only good thing about it was Bill Murray and even that whole scene was pretty shit. Ugh. I have a bad taste in my mouth from watching that movie.

Fuck you Zombieland is awesome as fuck. Not quite Shaun of the Dead, but definitely one of the better zombie films.

I think I've seen that. Sounds similar.

I've also seen Zombieland up to the Bill Murray scene which I thought was pretty fucking funny. I didn't see enough of the film to judge on that though.

Zombieland took a group of actors I find unbearably annoying on their own and made them enjoyable to watch as a group. It's a good movie.

I was watched the Uncut 293 min version of Das Boot. A remarkably put together film with some really great characters. It's a long watch but I never really felt like it was overstaying its welcome.

Aye, had the DVD for over a year but just never really made the time to watch it. Also saw Foxcatcher today. It wasn't amazing, and I wanted more exploration of Steve Carrell's character, but it was a good watch regardless.

I'm completely caught up now and I'd recommend not starting Season 2 until it's available in its entirety. Sitting around waiting for another episode is agony.

Also I wanted a Gravity Falls avatar but now I'll just look like a goddamn copycat. THANKS.

Your advice came too late, I binged all the episodes that are already out over Saturday night and now I’m in agony.

Just watched a film called Compliance. A very accurate true story that, I would imagine, have people getting angry with its characters and boasting "that would never happen to me!"

If you give it a watch I recommend not reading into it.

I watched the first few episodes of Over the Garden Wall this morning. It's quite charming, to say the least. Part of me wants to marathon the rest of the miniseries, yet it seems like the kinda thing I'd want to savor. Depends how sucked into the show's story I end up getting I suppose. I like how it's lightly taking its time with exposition so far, yet I can't help but feel like the show is just gonna grab me hard by the balls at any moment. It's a nice feeling.

On the topic of kids' cartoons: after (extensively) watching the crap out of Gravity Falls with my brother and a friend of mine, I think I've decided it's the best children's TV show I've ever watched. It's got everything I'd ever want in a cartoon: humour, heart, mystery, a triangle demon, Street Fighter homages, time travel, the list goes on!

I want to see Over the Garden Wall, at some point. It looks pretty great. And I like that Cartoon Network is taking chances making a mini-series like that. It's a really good thing that Adventure Time came along, and destroyed their live action era. That was terrible.

Live action shows on a network called Cartoon Network just feels like a sin against nature and logic.

Come to think of it, I can't recall any live action children's cartoons I would consider "good". Sure I liked a few as a kid, but in retrospect they were pretty mediocre to awful.

Oh wow that looks dumb. I meant live action children's programs. No wonder no one said anything back...

Oh, and I watched The Iron Giant last night, for the first time. I had caught glimpses of it as a kid and just kinda shrugged it off as another 90's Disney animated film, which I got tired of pretty damn quickly as a kid.

Then I recently found out it had nothing to do with Disney and was directed by Brad Bird. And that it has a pretty huge cult following.

It was pretty much as good as I expected from Brad Bird. Right up there with The Incredibles, if not a touch ahead of it.

I think the movie definitely benefits from an adult viewing perspective. Not to say kids can't enjoy it - I mean, giant robots are awesome - but there are quite a few plot elements, themes and moments in the dialogue that I can't imagine myself having really picked up on if I had seen it when it first released. Having said that though I was a pretty fucking dumb kid, so.
Also I thought the animation was really pretty, so there's that.

OH! AND! Have any of you seen Better Call Saul yet?

Spoiler alert it's really damn good (not really a spoiler)
