I think we can live without jungles. It doesn't add any new features, except a new kind of wood and different coloured leaf.

But it's not just a different colour. It has a completely new large-leafed texture.

I spawned a new 12w04a world earlier and went exploring. I managed to find a jungle before too long. My computer was not happy. I think it was because there were 3 times as many blocks with transparent textures than usual. To make matters worse half of those had vines on them, too.

I had to change my graphics settings to fast to get it to work at a steady FPS.

EDIT: Shit. I thought this was the Minecraft thread.

For some reason they don't have their own saplings. I guess either this will be changed before 1.2 or that will simply be how oak trees sometimes grow in jungle biomes.

Server has been updated to CraftBukkit 1.1-R1.

In addition I've fixed the Ma'spa seed (again), updated the stargate's name for that world and removed the stargate in Splat's giant Enderman's head.

I've also given Darkhoodness admin access to the server files and such so he can help me administrate the server should I not be around (mostly weekends).

It seems I was the only one who bothered to keep a backup of their Minecraft 1.0 .jar file, so the server's been quiet lately.

Still, it took the Bukkit team 2 weeks to update? That's a long time. Seems there's a new update on the horizon as well, I hope it won't take them just as long.

At the moment we're just arsing around building our own crap. DH is working through RF a bit, converting it to an adventure map but he doesn't need our help right now.

You've been around for a while, so I don't really have a problem with you joining. It's not my call, though.

Don't see a problem with it myself, just be sure to respect people's structures, don't leave floating trees, fill in your creeper holes in populated areas, etc, etc.

I've just got around Genesis patching creeper holes and fixing the base's communal storage. Obviously there's nothing in storage, but they've been looking ugly ever since 1.8.

Nah, we decided that threads for a specific topic can go on for as long as they like. Threads with a floating topic (WDYLL, BnP, etc) will retain the old rule of cutting off at 50 pages.

Well a few things did change and it would be nice if we could have one centralized post with all the server information, rules, announcements and stuff. Right now the OP isn't by me though, and even if it was the edit limit is getting in the way. If the edit time limit can be solved I would prefer a new thread to keep everything organized.

Whilst I was asking about this thread, I did give specific reasons for why a thread like this should be left to its own devices. That's enough for a legal precedent.

Don't you have a website? Maybe you could dedicate a small page of it to the serve with updates and such

But I understand if that's too much of a hassle.
