That's the truth, for at least the AS part, though CN is basically doing what Nick does in that they're putting all these tweeny shows out with just pure garbage on the side. I've noticed this trend of general degradation in everything mainstream at this point.

"Cartoon" channels don't live out to their name anyway, with the possible exception of Boomerang which actually airs what its supposed to (most of the time). I can't remember when its supposed to happen, but CN is shoving off a good chunk of their cartoon time with a new "Cartoon Network REAL" or some such, which is live action tween shows. Which is pretty much exactly what Toon Disney did until they got so far removed from their name they had to change it (to Disney XD because Disney doesn't understand the internet).
I predict Cartoon Network will eventually become...Network or something, as it seems that the day will be taken up with their "REAL" block and their nights taken up with "Adult Swim".
There's also Boomerang and Nicktoons Network, I guess, but they're often on more expensive cable packages. And Nicktoons pretty much shows the exact same cartoons that are currently on Nickelodeon. So basically all they show is Spongebob.
Foster's Home of Imaginary Friends was pretty great but Cartoon Network seemed to really hate showing it, as they never did until it was canceled (in which they showed the last episodes in a row and then took it off all together). Skunk Fu! is actually pretty good for a recent show, especially since its made with Flash. Other than that, I can't stand most recent cartoons. On the bright side, there seems to be more of a shift back to the old style of humor with some newer toons like The Might B!, Chowder, and The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.
