I almost bought this set for over £100 in HMV. Here, as you can see, I save £166. God bless Amazon. I suspect that your Hellraiser videos were cheaper up on here, too.

that is a good save, and too right.

Hellraiser DVD's were literally about £4 each, and £9 for the first 3 in a set when they were originally £30.
baring in mind there's 8 films.

one place i will never shop is Ebay.

Damn right, never shop there. I'll admit I'm tempted at times (especially when I saw that rare Dalek), but I must say no. I don't like it. But as you know, Amazon is a different matter. They also made Rocko's Modern Life Available. Cut, as aired, but available.

the Laurel & Hardy series is great, only Norman Wisdom comes level with them (in my opinion).

And you've just reminded me that I do. He was great, too. But I believe that no film from back then beats Way Out West. In fact, I've just finished watching Beau Hunks where they join the Foreign Legion. Very much like an early Flying Deuces.

Oh, I am fancy with my italics.

Holy shit. Just earlier on today, I showed my nephew a Sooty episode where Sweep was running a supermarket.

Sooty with Matthew Corbett was a vital part of my early childhood.

I keep meaning to try Amazon but never get round to it. I have no success on eBay and find that Amazon doesn't always have the same range as eBay does.

Matthew Corbett looks a lot like the one I remember (obviously, seeing as though he's his son), only he didn't have a beard. When Matthew took over, it was only a few episodes later that I "grew out" of it, so I don't remember much about what I thought of him at the time.

And at least with Amazon, you're not going to start at a good price and go to a ridiculously high price, as is mostly the case with auctions. When you click "Buy", you know it's your's (unless it gets lost in the post, which has happened to me, but that's no fault of Amazon's).

Something I found amusing on Wikipedia.

"A particular controversial episode of the show was "Soo's Babies", where Soo pretended to be pregnant ........ In the same episode Soo says she feels she has got the whole of the Manchester football team inside her, a joke also seen as unsuitable for children by some."

I remember watching that episode with my eldest nephew when it first aired. I remember the talk that Matthew had with Sweep about the "birds and the bees". My nephew doesn't, though. He was only young at the time.

That'd be a rather unusual way to be taught the ways of the world.

Something else that I suddenly wondered about that episode- who was supposed to be the father? Also, if Sweep's getting a birds & bees talk, and he's around Soo's age....well uh....
